A brief round up from the non-league ex-shrews for anyone that's interested.......
After winning 3-1 against Stalybridge Celtic yesterday, Droylsden have a 1pt lead at the top of the Conference North, thanks to Southport losing against Redditch. Jody Banim scored and Ian Fitzpatrick played too. Mark Atkins/Spidey is currently the assistant manager for Stalybridge, having moved earlier in the season from Harrogate Town. Stalybridge are struggling to avoid relegation from the Conf North league - although they did beat Accy Stanley 5-4 on penalties in the semi final of some cup in mid-week (Jags played) and will meet Karl Murray's Woking team in the final.

Some people were suggesting last season that we should sign Colin Little, Alty fans are glad we didn't.

The only reason is b/c any player deemed surplus to requirements at the Saunders Honda is shipped off to Droylesden. They are the classic Chester reject team and it's no wonder they're doing so well having had their childhood dreams come true and performing in front of the Chester rabble.
