We travelled.
We pay enterance fee.
We watched in the cold.
We are entitled to critise if the players do not perform at a satisfactory level- Like anything in life, if you don't perform, you can't complain when critism comes your way.

This whole thing pees me off a bit.
Just to confirm the situation. They play great, we chear and sing, they play crap, we chear and sing.
Let me ask, if you go to your local chippy and buy pie and chips, and the pie is cold and the chips are dry and tough.
Do you
a) Go back to the chippy and congratulate the owner on a superb meal.
b) Go back to the chippy and tell the owner that the pie was crap and the chips where awfull and dont bother going there again.
Yes, its a difficult one isnt it.

Again, i am superbly shot down in flames BUT , although i wasnt there ( suppose therefore i should shut up ), presumably for the previous 81 minutes he had not played very well, and if GP had brought someone else on, they could have scored the oppurtunity he missed to win the game later on. I guess people are getting a bit tired of watching dross ( not Bros ), and if you dont let the manager know at the game, when do you get a chance.

Suppose all I care about is staying up, how we play just doesn't come into it anymore, all bar a few games we have been woeful, This bunch of players have not performed, full stop, so athough I can't blame people for hoping to see something better, I can't see why, they on the whole are not good enough or don't fit as a team, when I have seen them play a decent game it annoys me more, why then and not other times? So against Notts County I'll shout, sing and outshout the moaners around me, but I won't expect to see a good game, thats for next season

whats your point???
Sheron scored a scrappy equalizer from 5 yards in a goal mouth scramble.
Well done.
However for the rest of the game he didnt do anything else. Whilst it is wrong to abuse the players I find it hard to understand how people who were there can be rubbished by those that weren't there. You didnt see the match, you didnt even listen to commentary, So how can you expect to know whether Sheron deserved to be on the pitch in the 80th minute or not?
If Sheron was picked as a striker, then it would be understandable if he did nothing all game yet pop up at the end and score.
However he is picked as a midfielder and as a result he has to take at least his fair share of the blame for a poor performance from the midfield and a complete lack of width and attacking play...

Town fans, for 99%, were ****ing superb again away from home. This is especially impressive given how absolutely diabolical we are away from home.

Hang on, hang on, hang on...just to remind folk...we are Shrewsbury Town Football Club. We are in the 2nd division and we aint the best supported team and we haven't got money to throw about. Now...what are you expecting? We get what we can afford, full stop, simple as...
Maybe some of you lot should be a tad more realistic as to what we're gonna see our way eh?
Maybe your expecting a tad too much from the players we have at the club?
Its an easy mistake to make...

Just for the record.
when we play 4-4-2.
I expect to see the midfield play with some width and pace, I expect to see the midfielders get forward nad help out the strikers.
I expect proffessional footballers to be able to knock the ball about not take one touch and smash it against the opposition.
If thats expecting too much, well I'd better stop gpong then.
I'm pretty sure I remeber a few seasons under Fred davies and Kevin ratcliffe when we play in this manner.
The widemen had pace and could run in a straight line. The central midfielders comprised of a ball player and a "hard" man to do the tackling.
Two solid centre halves who could win everything in the air, with two full backs able to cover the centre backs and occassionally get upfield.
Oh and two strikers able to play off each other, with support from the midfield.
i don't see why GP has to be so negative away from home? Is there something about playing away games that prevents Sam Aiston from starting???
I'm pretty sure I saw sam diving about in our area along with most of the team last night?

Do you a) Go back to the chippy and congratulate the owner on a superb meal. b) Go back to the chippy and tell the owner that the pie was cr@p and the chips where awfull and dont bother going there again. Yes, its a difficult one isnt it. If you've been to the chippy before, and you've liked it, and the pie and chips have been great, you go back and say, "Look, this isn't good enough- you can cook up something better than this- so you'd better find out why you've got it wrong- and do something about it!" That is- you remind them that they HAVE done better and CAN do better. (Appeal to their sense of pride, perhaps?) But it's different- Football isn't like just following a recipe and observing correct cooking times- it's WAY more complicated. The decision making has to be instantaneous. It can't really be compared. I reckon it helps when we have a player who is a "talker". I suppose it's not such a bad idea putting your suggestions forward, if you KNOW what would help. I note that G.P says he DOES listen and that we have a lot of knowledgeable supporters. I wouldn't presume to advise. I simply don't know enough- but if you feel strongly them write and tell G.P or something. That's not the same as rubbishing people as they are playing. I just don't think it helps to be negative towards the players. When has it helped? It may relieve the supporters feelings, but it doesn't help. I admit I've moaned myself at Leigh last season because we drew against - LEIGH!!!! But I was angry with Jimmy Quinn- and afterwards!! No- I wasn't there last night, but we've all been in a similar situation and can relate to it.
