I was in the car earlier today and on the radio came the message "Well it is just under two hours now before the wedding of Charles and Camilla" and my exact words were "Who gives a "!!
Ok I know one or two do, but I have little time for the Royals. They have nothing to do with my life, I hate them for hunting, and I really bet they gave damn about my wedding day nearly 7 years ago.

MyEnglish missus didn't give a toss. Must be because she's white and English. I didn't give a toss. Must because I consider myself British and I'm white. Ummmmm But as Dave says, they are two human beings, so no matter how dreadful they are (and by jesus they're awful!) good luck to them

I'm not a fan of theirs at all.....but.....given all the forces that tried to keep them apart, and the cr*p they have put up with since they finally were publically together....it must actually be a "love story" so to speak.
For what it has taken for them to be where they are now would have been difficult for people who weren't in the public eye so much, let alone them.
Perhaps those who changed the course of history in guiding him away from her all those years ago, are those that should take responsibility for all the hurt afterwards.

Yes the Queen should The good news for Charles is that at least Camilla can emulate Dianna in one way, because his Mum hates boths of them

People I work with I think have been a litttle surprised at my lack of "patriotism" So you really think that no one eles had a hand in saying "no you can't marry her?".......some how I don't think so. He got what he deserved for not standing up for himself. It's a shame others were hurt along the way. The idea of a wife and mistress in the Royal family was never going to suit this generation. That's where it started to go wrong.

I didn't give a toss. Must because I consider myself British and I'm white. You are also Welsh. Charles is the Prince of Wales. Surely you are proud of your great leader.

Agree with most of the sentiments - but the idea that the future leader of the Church would consider wife and mistress as a viable option is disconcerting. Good luck to them though - and I hope the media/press lets them live in peace.

I would like to add my sincere congratulations to them both. Not because they are royal or anything else but because as Shrews and Royals said they have been through a lot, put up with a lot, and three lives have been ruined because of so called protocol in the early 80s.
Prince Charles has been ruled by his parents' decisions all his life (and by trying to do what is right). He had a miserable school life at a school he hated (at least we have all like some parts of school), he had to marry someone he didn't love, and I doubt Diana loved him either. The marriage failed mainly I think because of the pressures on both of them.
Now, at last, he has married someone he has loved for years and possibly someone who can make him a far happier and relaxed person. I have married since 1970 just about when they met - what a load of wasted years - they have had. Good luck to them.
I don't like their lifestyle one bit - I am one of the biggest anti-hunting people I know - but I do wish them well and some peace and quiet from now on.
PS the people that booed must be some of the saddest people in the country.
