Performance...absolute garbage.
The result...pleasing.
We've knicked a point but the time has come for some changes to be made.
Tinson must be dropped, made countless errors and didn't organize the back 4.
Ashton must be made captian, the only talker today and in the first half the only one that appeared to give a damn.
Hart...Very dodgy, went walkabout a few times and was lucky not to be punished.
Tolley...Much more bite from him today, Including a great lunge in the first half.
Sheron- Unlucky to be the target of the boo boys today, well taken finish and was there at the right time.
Edwards- much more inspirational as sub.
Wilkinson- Caught out many times out of position but did ok when defending.
Challis- distribution woeful, did ok
Cowan- good solid debut, good in the air (obviously) but needs to put his foot through the ball and clear!!
As I say decent result as I can't remember seeing us have a decent chance until the goal.
The fans turned out well but there were a few funny chants today-
"Peters give us a sub"
"Where the facks our midfield?"
"Will we have a shot on goal?"
"Sheron off Sheron off Sheron off"

Thought Hart did very well. What did he do wrong? He had to come out to clear on two occasions. Made a brilliant save in the first half. Tipped over a pile driver in the second. Had to dive in difficult situations as we werere all at sea in front of him. Kicked well from hand and ground. Called for the abll, shouted at the defenders. Well done Joe.

I thought Joe did nothing wrong tonight .The team performance was typical away style for Shrewsbury(crap)Nobody played particularly well but Tolley was by far the worst.

Hart's kicking was excellent tonight
He was consistently getting it to kelvin, kick after kick was spot on
He made some decent svaes, gathered a couple of crosses well and looks a real class player for the future

Hart looked great in phases, went walkabout a few times and lacked some comunication, would still give the no 1 shirt to howie, Just......excellent prospect....(not knocking him though)

Must have been at a different game.... Hart-made a couple of good saves, read the game well-clearing the danger, when he came for the ball he won it, caught almost everything. Tinno-won a hell of a lot in the air, was always on his man Ashton- game largely bipassed him except for 10 minutes in and around our goal in the second half Tolley-chasing shadows again Sheron-offered no width whatsoever and very little support to the strikers. Important goal, missed a very good chance just after. Edwards-offered little width, along with the rest of the midfield completely bipassed or played through. Wilkinson- a heavy knock early on, yet still battled on. Challis-solid enough, was never going to offer much going forward, simply because there were no options for him (or anyone else for that matter) to pick out. As for the chants, well we were pretty awful and didnt look like having a shot on goal let alone scoring. It was obvious we needed the direct play, pace and width that Sam Aiston offers. For someone who despised Lowe, I'm surprised you seem to be a fan of Sheron on the wing, he offers us far less than anything Lowe used to offer- no width, no attacking play, no much defensive cover from open play, he's not physical and he's not very attacking... Oh and we didnt have a midfield out to day, they were largely absent.

I'm not a fan of Sheron.
He did no less then others today and he shouldn't have been singled out.
Atleast he's consistant in his average performances...

As I say decent result as I can't remember seeing us have a decent chance until the goal. The fans turned out well but there were a few funny chants today- Have to disagree with a fair bit of that geoff. Tinno held the back line together IMO. Covered for Cowan & Wilkinson on numerous occaisons. Made plenty of last ditch blocks/tackles. Too busy covering for these 2 to have time to organise as well!! Cowan - very slow start. Didnt impose his size on the Chelts forwards. Failed to challenge for the first 3 aerial balls aimed his way. Caused confusion with Hart , but did get better as the game went on. Certainly no Stitch. Wilkinsons positional play is terrible. Far too keen to bomb forward; when you have Sheron infront of you its a liability to the rest of the defence. Tolley terrible. End of. Sheron - offers abo$!utely nothing out wide. He was playing more and more central as the game wore on. Get him upfront. Luke - off the pace. Offside. Off. Cant see him forming a partnership with Langmead, we have been cunningly introduced to his replacement already. Langmead. Clear to me that GP is forming the team around him. All long balls aimed for him & he wins them. He is getting better each game, but needs a strike partner. (try Sheron) Fortunatley we had strong spine to the team on Friday. Hart, Tinno, Ashton, Langmead. All the pre match talk about having to improve our away performances, was rewarded with a clueless, shapeless performance, but somehow we salvaged a point with what must have been our only effort on target.
