I see Northampton Town have announced an increase in next seasons admission prices - the 1st in 5 years BUT interestingly have also announced that ALL under7s will be admitted free of charge. Will STFC follow suit and at last come up with an incentive that will attract more youngsters to the games. As I see it we (the club) are lagging way behind when it comes to trying to bring in new supporters with very little being done in the way of attracting a new generation of fans. As mentioned before a you only have to take a walk around the town centre pre match to see countless youngsters in 'Premier' shirts to gauge the lost revenue.

how about a discount for all fans who attend wearing the new shirt ?
they should be selling next seasons season tickets now! (with a little incentive attached)

I honestly think that the club needs to look at ways to encourage more people to come.
It happened again on Saturday, as Leah and I were walking back through the town, two people leaned out of car windows and yelled "How did Town get on?" and when we told them, they cheered.
What's stopping them coming to watch? There were far more on Good Friday. Is that a clue? Are people in work on Saturday and can't come?
Is money a problem when people have a few children?
Need a few "special offers" to get people in. I believe Tranmere sometimes let children in for £1.

Brilliant idea and probably a reasonably easy one to implement.
All under 7s would have to come with a parent or paying guardian.
In order to get in for free, they would have to be signed up to the Gary Peters youth supporters club or something.
This could be done at any time during the season.
Walk into the club offices, hand over £2, and a passport photo (to cover admin) with some sort of proof that you are 7 or under and in return recieve a Garry Peters young supporters club card (with your photo on) or something.
There could be a special gate where on showing the card, the youngster gets in

I take my children to all the home matches but when it gets too dear I have to do it with one going to one and one going to the next I dont like going in the family stands and we all have membership tickets surely they could do a discount for the more children you take.

Im going to jump on this bandwagon as my little lad will be old enough to attend soon without getting bored after five minutes, the daughter loves it so its going to be very expensive for me to take them both to home games next season, im not a family stand type so dont mention it.
Can we please have some incentives for children attending as if i have to pay the full price they wont be going very often.

I'll never understand why clubs are so short-sighted as to settle for half-empty grounds rather than let kids in for nothing or next to nothing.
Football is all about habit and any kids who start watching Shrewsbury regularly are more than likely going to be fans for life. I'm not from a Fulham-supporting area and Fulham were pretty rubbish when I was a kid, but my mate's Dad used to take us down the Cottage when I was a young kid and I'm still a season ticket holder nearly twenty-five years on.
Two free kids per adult ticket or something like that and I'm sure you'll find a lot of folk in town becoming regulars even if they're plastic Man Utd/Liverpool fans - just because it's something fun to do with the kids of a Saturday.
Another idea is to give all season ticket holders free tickets for one or two games of the season so they can take along lapsed fans, curious colleagues etc. You'll not lose out because the alternative is an empty patch of terracing and if they turned up for say, the Chester game, then the chances are that a fair few would come again and maybe bring their kids or friends along.
The play off final showed there's a fair amount of latent support in Shropshire - you've just got to make match days at the Meadow a more attractive proposition for them.

get off your crazy moon planet pilch, this is shrewsbury town your talking about. sorry i was day dreaming just realised nothing will be said until after the season ends and everyone has been on holiday and back then an announcement will be made that prices have not risen for a few years and will rise to £14 terrace and £20 to sit the main reason being to pay players off and help build a oversized executive lounge at the new meadow
