Only last month the chairman tried to sack Rush but pulled back because it would cost too much. With so much uncertainty about the manager's position a player would have to be a real dip-stick to sign for a club in those circumstances. Oh hello Ryan.

I think Rush is on his way to be honest. If a chairman offers to pay you out and then a few months later sacks your assisstant, it can hardly look good. You guys couldn't hold on to JQ for much longer and it's the same for us. Luckily for you Quinny realised his faults and did the decent thing, hopefully Rush will see sense and do the same. However, if you believe others then apparently he's already done it...!

Is this a decent chester fan who talks sense and hasnt come on the board to give abuse wipe my eyes! Hehe yeah we get a few silly STFC fans on our board but it's daft some of the things we get...and i'm sure you get from us! I like banter but harping on about 5-0...and when we finished above you last year....is all a bit tiresome. No need to wipe your eyes mate. About Quinn, was he forced out from above then? Makes sense to be but it certainly came across that he'd reached an amicable agreement with your chairman. We can't even reach amicable agreements our end..!

Fair do's mate but at least he agreed to go and ultimately left in time to save you for at least another season. We may not be so lucky next season if there isn't a change in management over the summer. Rush is a top bloke and seems really pleasant to be around, however i don't think he's the man and i get the feeling a lot of League Two fans are dying to say "told you so"!! . We weren't to know to be fair and i thought it would come off personally, but Alas....

Have to differ.
Ryan has been offered a 2 year contract (when all he faced was the dole whilst at STFC)
He has also been assured regualr first team football as opposed to upteen substitutions.
Oh and his place of work is now closer to his home.
And he may have recieved a signing on fee/wage increase.
However whether Chester will still be able to afford to pay him and the rest of the squad in 2 years or so is a another question.

says who?
The chairman seems pretty keen on him....
And this still doesnt detract from the fact he has a 2 year contract and a possible pay rise etc...

Rob you are contradicting yourself. What are Chester going broke or in the dosh? Is Ryan going to get a possible pay rise or are Chester not going to be able to afford him?
You still Love Ryan I can tell ;D

Chester's financial situation is exaggerated sometimes. Obviously without Vaughan's backing we would be much less secure but some predict doom and gloom and it really isn't that bad! Besides, if we can make a go of it ASAP then we'll be better placed to fund ourselves once Vaughan decide to move on - hence why this season has been even MORE frustrating. We'll never be better than a good League 2 club with our gates...but that'll do for me as long as we don't drop again. Do a "Rochdale" for example

Do a "Rochdale" for example I think without Vaughan youd be up s**t creek very soon or always in the bottom half of Div 2 on your crowds, you are not that well supported for the Division. As for "Do a Rochadale" i presume you mean kick around in the same Division for 30 years without doing **** all ;D

As for "Do a Rochadale" i presume you mean kick around in the same Division for 30 years without doing **** all ;D Precisely...better than being a yo-yo club between league and non-league like Hailfax, Barnet and now seemingly Kiddy and possibly Rushden! I think if Vaughan left and didn't want us to repay him in a way beyond our means then we might have a chance to survive in the League. Also if we haven't got the money it can only be taken in assests like players and as the ground is owned by the council @ least we wouldn't be in the same awful boat as Wrexham. I've got faith in SV to be fair he's done more for our club than we had a right to hope for and this Thai deal looks like a good way of securing some much more needed commercial links...

Bambi, why do you think there was no announcement today? Was it due to Rush being at Anfield?
Thats the main problem with these big name manager who used to have a decent playing career with Club or country, they always find time to go and watch or even do commentary on there old club or country instead of taking in matches looking for players or even watching reserve games. Ratcliffe did it, Quinn did it and Rush does it.

A lot of people would quite agree with that JP. His TV appearances really have increased since he over with us and yet we get little mention! I think your right, being a pundit must interfer with his shedule and as he has no No.2 at the mo it he can ill afford time away.
About the announcement JP, well it's yet another blinding piece of PR by our club. We do this quite a bit and it frustrates fans. It has happened before and then it just turned out that there was a genuine delay. I think we'll hear more in the papers tomorrow but i doubt it'll be a spectacular announcement like it was billed to be...probably end up being a quiet whimper on the back page!
Having said that, i think today's significance with Liverpool had something to do with it yes. He's made a few appearences today and also on TV tonight. All will be revealed but i wish it could be laid to rest, we're too good at unsettling ourselves and it's not what you need when you have Boston fast approaching...

So if Rush is out who would CCFC fans want to see in?

Some fans want Mark Wright back in charge and to be fair i don't think we could do much worse. Although in all honesty we'd have to watch his signings.
Others go for the really experienced men like Stan Ternent. I also would have liked to see Steve Mahon but he's over in Australia i gather.
I haven't seen a list of men who are currently available and who would take the job on, however, he needs to know the lower leagues well and have good contacts in the transfer market.
What was Shrew's reaction to the appointment of Peters. He's done alright for you lot so far hasn't he? what did you make of it?

Gary who? for most of us at first, but Preston and Exeter fans were saying good words about him. There's no doubt that in the short time he's been with us he's acquired a legendary status.
