As a Fulham fan, I may be a little biased, but I didn't think he did anything wrong in the Barca v Chelsea game.
Mourinho and CFC's subsequent non-stop moaning and insinuation was designed to deflect attention from their defeat and put pressure on whoever refereed the second leg. Both of which are out of order.
Given the amount of one-eyed halfwits knocking about who can't accept that their team will lose now-and-again, and especially given the sort of muppets who make up the rump of Chelsea's fickle support, it's not overly-surprising that Frisk's received these threats.
Mourinho needs to have a think about how he conducts himself in future, but no doubt he'll regard Frisk's resignation as a personal victory. Issuing death threats because you're team have lost the first leg of a cup competition is pathetic. Without refs we have no game.
Oh, and Frisk made a point of stating that not all Chelsea fans live in Sweden - wonder if he was making any sort of reference to the old Russian mafia? Lots of rumours flying around the newsdesks regarding very dodgy dealings on the part of RA.

Yeah, but rgardless of all the Chelsea/Barca stuff, Mourinho outbursts etc, there is one inescapable fact.....
.....Frisk was a crap referee.

That's as may be, and personally, if it wasn't for the fake tan and barnet, I wouldn't even have had reason to remember the bloke before all this, but you shouldn't get death threats for reffing football. And he actually had a decent game in Barcelona.
As for me being biased, well, maybe a little bit, but it's all true!

And he actually had a decent game in Barcelona. Apart from not booking Deco for an outrageous dive to try and get a penalty and sending off Drogba......

...and everyone seems to be balming Jose Mourinho: balming Jose? In coconut milk? Rare oriental spices? Olay?

I don't think that Drogba could have much to complain about - he'd made a fair few iffy challenges and he should know that keepers tend to get more protection in European football than they do in the UK. No-one I know that it was that wacky a decision.
As for Deco - I'll give you that, but I didn't notice Mourinho moaning about his persistent diving when Porto won the UEFA Cup or Champions (sic) League. Funny how he has a problem with the practice when he's on the wrong end of it.
Can't remember the last time I watched a game where the ref got everything right and therefore I stand by my opinion re him having a decent game.

a great ref who reffed games with fair.
I will mis his over exubrant booking and sending off gestures.
That stride with a puffed out chest, flowing blonde hair and orange skin.
A personality, one that will be missed.
