We can have a win-win situation here.....I know it's been mentioned before, but what's wrong with :
The <Sainsbury's*> Meadow Stadium Rowley Park Shrewsbury.
<* insert name of company willing to pay the most money>

Otley road has a kinda nice ring to it IMO. Also it might get one or two of the more vain local residents on side if they think the name of there street will be platered all over the papers whenever we pull of cup upset (Hey, its worth a shot!). Failing that hows about the erm....railside

I still have the feeling it will be a cheap and nasty stadium...(Hope Not Though) So until proven wrong, the name should be ... Blot on the Landscape It can't be any worse than what we currently have can it? Rusty corrogated steel, different heights to the stands, no roof on the wakeman end, awful bogs, sh*t pitch (this time of year anyway). unused section of terracing, trees falling onto roofs, crap club shop, zero access, no parking, etc. etc. Bring it on I say, from the artist impression it doesn't look that bad (IMHO), let's not forget we aren't the richest club in the football league.

I couldn't agree more Blum , about the Gay Meadow. Im just dreading another Deva type stadium. They are already talking about lowering the roof and it will no doubt have a breeze block interior.

Bilbo, Yes I know, but what can we do? it's all gone too far now in the planning, the trust is a great idea if the board let them get involved, but somehow I doubt it. Call me synical but a FAN letting them know they could do it better this way etc. mmmmm, not sure it will happen. Does anyone know how much the deva cost to build? I know it's been up a while but in relative terms.... Surely 10 Million is a lot of money for a thrown up breeze block and steel structure. Are there any new plans available to view since the changes were announced? I didn't pay too much attention when they were on about the pitch being made bigger at the expense of the stadium.. Who pays to watch rugby in shrewsbury anyway? Where woud revenue come from and would it compensate a ruined pitch? Christ the questions keep coming... I'm all for Shrewsbury sport to prosper, but what rugby clubs do we have big enough for this sacrifce?
