I'VE WOULD LIKE TO CALL IT THE STADIUM OF DREAMS, ITS SYMBOLIC I SUCH A WAY AS ITSWHAT WE ALL WOULD OF DREAMED OF AND CURRENTLEY STILL DREAM OF! JUST IMAGINE IT GETS BUILT AND THE TEAM BECOMES SUCCESSFUL, SOME RICH MAN DECIDES TO PUMP SOME MONEY INTO THE CLUB (A LOT) AND WE PUSH HARD AND GET PROMOTED TO THE PREMIERSHIP(UNLIKELY YET POSSIBLE, FULHAM IS A GOOD EXAMPLE AS WILL BE WIGAN I'M SURE TO ADD) PLAYING MAN UTD ARSENAL, LIVERPOO, CHELSEA, EVERTON ETC AT HOME EVERY OTHER WEEK, 20,000 CROWDS TOO HAS THE GROUNDS BEEN DOUBLED UP, THERE'S A DREAM, JUST AS MUCH ASTHE STADIUM IS, THE MEADOW OF DREAMS.

I've voted for Rowley Park as it is the nearest to the name I would really prefer, which is the Arthur Rowley Stadium.

Blandford Park The New Deva B&Q/Homebase/Wickes etc. The Biscuit Tin Condover Stadium (since that's practically where it is!)
And the winner will be:
The Tern Hill Communications Arena at New Meadow.

Had to vote for Rowley Park Agree that sponsorship likely to be progressed though - see who will want to put their name to the new ground for a large wedge of cash? The Guinness Stadium has a ring to it

In light of all the talk on other threads about racism and bigots, I think we should hold our heads up high and show how tolerant we are by proudly keeping the word Gay in the name of our new ground.
Campaign now for the New Gay Meadow!!

Was it some snotty nosed git called Lord Leitentant (can't spell it but the army rank geezer) of Shropshire, Keynon or something similar that made us lose SALOP from the dictionary, because it was politicaly incorrect? So to pee him off why not the Salopian Stadium? I just don't think that the New Meadow has a credible ring to it.

I agree that we should take sponsorship cash if it is available but I would be all for naming one of the stands the Rowley Stand, that way we can keep everyone happy.

It is imperative we get a big investor to sponsor the stadium and whilst 'Field of dreams' or some such name would be poetic, money is what counts. However I would like to see any drive into the stadium being christened Rowleys Way or Arthur Rowley Way!

Great idea in the last post.. Arthur Rowlay Way, has a nice ring to it.. If a sponsor does come in then great, but remember the McAlpine Stadium? It's now called the Galpharm Stadium!!! Yuk.
I also know that Salope (with an E) means Prostitute in French, but hey! Who cares about upsetting the French?

I also know that Salope (with an E) means Prostitute in French, but hey! Who cares about upsetting the French? When I took the lil laydee to the Bury away game, she asked me what on earth everyone was shouting when she heard "SALOP! SALOP!" At first I replied "I think they know you dear". A few minutes later I bucked up the courage to explain

I still have the feeling it will be a cheap and nasty stadium...(Hope Not Though) So until proven wrong, the name should be ... Blot on the Landscape
