I don't tend to let things annoy me but for today it has to be people who are un-ambitious - and when I talk about ambition I don't necessarily mean in terms of work but just to be the best person they can and fulfil their ambitions.
What is annoying everyone else today?

At the moment the officials in the Liverpool game, two pens missed and Baros has been hit in the face...all went unpunished

I take it you own a pair then Andrew ? Don't worry, the threat of violence is a hollow one. It's just that i really have a thing about this particular fashion item. I think they are hideous. But each to their own i guess. Don't wear them next thursday though. The temptaion to hurl them onto the M5 might be too great

People who hide behind a guest post (excepting the ole big 'ead type of post) Why does the presence of an often meaningless username possibly associated with an equally meaningless email address make a person somehow more accountable or add any more weight to what they post. ?

People who dont vote in elections be it local or government, then they moan about the way the country's run etc. Personally I think if you dont vote you dont have a right to complain

Why does the presence of an often meaningless username possibly associated with an equally meaningless email address make a person somehow more accountable or add any more weight to what they post. ? Because a usename and an address adds a level of credibility that is absent when posting as guest. A blogger's credibility is based on a record that can be verified, posting as a guest eliminates that possibility.

Because a usename and an address adds a level of credibility that is absent when posting as guest. So posting as, for example, BradfordShrew or CastlefieldsShrew with some made up Email address adds credibility. ? Sorry, but I just don't follow that line of thinking at all. Every poster has an IP address and is therefore identifiable and accountable, meaningless tags beyond that add no further accountability.

So posting as, for example, BradfordShrew or CastlefieldsShrew with some made up Email address adds credibility. ? Put it this way, if we where to meet up what would we call you? Guest? those of us on here who know each other are known by our knicknames first, first names second. A guest posting does give the impression that the truth maybe bollox....if you catch my drift. a guest could be anyone.

What is a blogger ? you've lost me there. Someone who posts on blogs, blogospheres. They're very popular in the world of politics. Right wing blogs claim the demise of Dan Rather (CBS News Anchor) and the head of CNN News (name escapes me). The essence is that in order to gain credibility, and identity has to be claimed and maintained. Posting as a guest, an identity has been refused, which in turn leads to a reduction in the level of credibility attached to postings. That's not to say that they are lies though.
