With the old workhorse suffering from a hamstring injury and rated as doubtful for this coming weekend I hope that GP gives another chance to Kevin Street to prove himself in his best position, central midfield. Kevin has worked hard without any moans since being put on the transfer list and has been a regular in the reserves putting in some decent performances. Trevor Challis and Duane Darby are on the transfer list with him and have both been given chances to prove themselves so why not Kevin. Nothing will make me happier than to see him in the starting eleven on Saturday.

Agree - I actually like Street - plays a good mix of simple/keep possession balls - i.e. encourages us to play football not just lump it high to little Luke and can also play the clever ball out wide to spread the play and encourage us to get behind the defence....
Quite similar to O'Connor in some respects but also got some very quick feet to get out of trouble when closed down....

Agreed!! O.K.- I'm in no position to make very intelligent judgements- but I have an "instinct" about this. Street seems to have an intelligent grasp of the game- a "Footballing brain" as I've heard said. I just think he's also very motivated. Wants to catch the gaffer's eye and win his place back. Doesn't like a lot of long ball stuff, apparently. He seems to like neat, flowing football.
