Does anyone know how long you have to make a claim? I was overcharged a while back and was not offered a refund so wouldn't mind chasing it up, cheers!

I once paid an estimate for 3 years and found i was way overpaying.When i sorted my accounts out the taxman sent me a cheque for about 3500 quid .I don t think there is a time limit.

Don't think there's a time limit to claim - but I imagine the IR won't pay you any interest for looking after your money you!!

There is a time limit of 7 years and they do pay interest...but only at the lowest rate

They never allowed me a refund, they owed me £800. they just factored it in to the next years tax code.

Just before I came to Japan they paid me a refund which seemed to be more than all the tax I had ever paid previously
