At the game on saturday expecting to see one of the leagues better strikers, apparently full of pace and ability but was left feeling that he was infact one of the poorer.
Had to resort to diving infront of the home fans in the first half, was all over our keeper on your corners and as for pace, even ashley westwood kept up with him...which believe me is saying something
good luck, hope you lot stay up

Good luck to you too matey

whats happened to him then, was he poor or was it a real lack of service?

both really, simply not as fast as he used to be, someone on here the other day suggested that it is because he is doing too much body building, which makes sence. And no, he is not getting the kind of service he needs. He gets too many high balls played to him ( yes, i know, he is 4 foot 2, how the ****....), he is made to chase too many balls towards the corner flag , and he rarely gets a defence splitting ball down the middle. Personally, i think he confidence is shot as well.

agree, there were a few times he could of really ran at our defence which was not at its fastest but he just passed it and the attack fizzled.
Only two of your players really semi impressed me, the number 10 and the one that came on at half time

Basically Rodgers has been let down by bad service in the last few seasons. When he played alongside Nigel Jemson he averaged 20 goals a season and ran rings round Evertons defence in the FA cup.
Since Jemson left he's been left playing alongside 68 year old Jimmy Quinn and "not very good" John Grant. I'd imagine he will probably be on his way at the end of the season - possible to Crewe - and with some decent coaching and a quality striker alongside him I'd expect him to be back to his old self again.
Having seen the way we played yesterday Westwood had an easy game but tended slip over a lot when under pressure - is this why he gets stick from Cobblers fans?
By the way I think the 3 points 9 man Northampton gifted us at the start of the season will probably help keep us up - I hope it doesn't stop Northampton getting in the playoffs though!

cheers mate
Westwood gets jip from fans because of some passing choices he makes the have often resulted in us conceding a goal or 2.
Also he has been very injury prone since he joined.
He got into fan favour last season by deliberatly getting sent off at home to mansfield in the playoffs when there player was clean thru and ready to put them 3-0 up and effectivley out of the tie but him getting sent off kept it at 2 and meant 2500 cobblers fans travelled to field mill and witnessed the best performance from us for a long time.
BTW when we lost to you we were so short on players Ryan Amoo played...his first start and has not started since...even Bertie Cozic played (now at Kiddie)
