The last 6 games & my thoughts as to the outcome of each for what it's worth NOTTS COUNTY (7 left as play tomorrow) Yeovil (A) - Lose Lincoln (H) - Lose Oxford (A) - Lose Grimsby (H) - Win Shrewsbury (A) - Lose (please please please) Bury (H) - draw Cambridge (A) - Lose = 47 points SHREWSBURY Oxford (H) - heart says win, head says Draw Cheltenham (A) - a very lucky draw Rochdale (A) - Lose Notts Co (H) - Win Swansea (A) - Lose Sc***horpe (H) - Lose = 47 points RUSHDEN Yeovil (H) - Lose Bristol R (A) - Lose Boston (H) - Draw Darlington (A) - Lose Cambridge (H) - Win Macclesfield (A) - Lose = 42 points KIDDY Wycombe (A) - Draw Bury (H) - Win Yeovil (H) - Lose Boston (A) - Lose Grimsby (H) - Win Northampton (A) - Lose = 43 points CAMBRIDGE Swansea (A) - Lose Darlington (H) - Draw Sc***horpe (A) - Lose Rochdale (H) - Draw Rushden (A) - Lose Notts Co (H) - Win = 37 points Cambridge & Rushden relegated, Kiddy just escape, we finish a relieved joint 4th bottom - phew - and need to undertake a drastic rebuilding exercise in the summer

That's an optimistic look at the remaining results, and you see us as only having one more win. Personally, I think Cambridge and Kidderminster will do better than what you think in the run-in.

Hmm you expect Kiddie to win more than 2 of their remaining games, despite losing convincingly to Mansfield on Saturday?

With the right mind set and application, the next 4 games are all at least drawable and even winable. But I fear the spectre of lack of confidence that we had in the relegation season has returned and I forsee another nervy end to the season. We should be out of sight by now, but a little bad luck and a lot of poor defending has put us where we are.

Simple, win are games and we are safe! It sums up presently the poor state we are in when we have to concern ourselves where other teams will drop points. Don;t be surprised if other teams do better than you think. I still think we need at least four points, possibly more.

I've said for some weeks now that 45 points will be enough - and I'm not going to change that view now. So 1 more win it is then. That would mean Kiddy needing 3 wins & a draw out of their last 6 to go above us - really, really can't see that happening.
What I can't see is where the 1 win is going to come from. Lose saturday and we're right back in it.

No but it's the teams that are below us that matter

Teams that are above us but catchable also matter - a bad run in from Notts Co could have put them into one of the relegation slots, though now unlikely after tonight's result.
