At the moment if you believe all you hear LR hasnt had any offers from elsewhere, so is he going to be back here where GP doesnt really want him cos as he said "on Luke's wages I can get 3 players in" or is he going to get his p45 and wait for an offer?

I don't think he fits into GP's plans for the future of the club so he is unlikely to be asked to play for and be paid by the Town.

There was an offer on the table for him, so if Luke decides to stay at SY and accept the offer I am sure he would be welcomed by all. It was Liuke's decision, and probably the right one, to throw his hat in the ring and try to play at a higher level - still time to get fixed up yet anyway.
GP would be able to use someone with the heart of Luke to bring on the young players if he agrees terms.
We have one hell of a manager in GP, not afraid to take risks, doesn't just take the easy option, goes the extra mile. Interesting that Luke names Ratcliffe as his most inspirational manager - he could have been good and appeared to be when we beat Everton, Crewe in the Daf Vans and then it all went wrong.....

If he's not close to getting sorted out within the next month or so then I'll start worrying on his behalf.

Im guessing that offering Luke a contract would mean that any tribunal would take that fact into account and give us some more cash on the basis that we still wanted him.
That may not necessarily be the reality of the situation just shrewd buisness by the Club.

luke has agreed terms with a club, and that club has offered £100K but GP is convinced he can get more from a tribunial so is holding out for 100K+.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Luke will be with us for one more season (if GP still wants him)

when i spoke to him earlier this week he said it could be crewe but he didn't know what the club wanted for him. probably what we all guessed was the case.

To be honest I'd take the £100K - as long as it was up front.
