Not long back from 'Fortress' Millennium (stopped in Merthyr on the way), and all I can say is what a seriously depressing afternoon! If Carl Robinson and Carl Fletcher are our long term central midfield pairing then I'll cry, decent club players but this is too big a step up. How Paul Evans doesn't get a look in is beyond me. Savage and Speed were missed very badly. Wales had their chances, Hartson and Robinson missed sitters and Giggs (who was generally excellent) and Davies both had shots well saved, but in the end the overall lack of quality showed and we lost to two late goals born from two sloppy errors. Gutted, and sadly I think yet another qualification failure will lead to the departure of many of our few remaining stars. Well done to England though, haven't seen the action yet but sounds like a good win against a Northern Ireland side rejuvinated under Sanchez who are generally tough to break down. Dunno if I can bare to watch Wednesdays games
