to obscure peoples view of one of the clearest penalties I have ever seen in my life last night when Langmead was hauled over and nearly had his shirt removed from his back at the same time..............
The ref bottled it simple as that.
As someone said to me last night if the foul had occured outside the box he'd have given a free kick no worries.

Never a penalty and there was no shirt-pulling. They fell over in a heap together. Langmead got the ball stuck under his feet and wanted to make it look like someone else's fault.

I hear Specsavers have a sale on "Never a penalty and no shirt pulling" left out the IMO.

Well get down there quick because there are a couple of thousand Town fans who are in the market too. Seriously, there was no doubt from where I was standing that no foul was committed.

Yea thought that was coming Seriously also from where I was it looked clear cut home and hosed penalty. Even Ant was doing his nut and called the ref an effing Milkman... something to do with bottles and bottling it I think, modern eufamisms(probably spelt wrongly) lost on me I'm afraid. And dont forget that is coming from a fellow Ref.........

I was probably 5 yards from the incident of which you speak and there is no doubt in my mind that the ref got it right. It was definately not a penalty.

Dosn't this thread show what a difficult job the ref has? you are evenly split amongst yourselves was it? wasn't it? might be worth remembering this next time you're all screaming at a ref!! for what its worth I thought NO penalty.

i was stood right behind the goal for this incident and usually i dont give a toss about pens that are waved away because i can never see clearly haha but last night it was definately a penalty, langmead nearly had his shirt ripped off his back, and cant believe it was waved away to be honest. but i spose the ref does have a difficult job, and in a game where there was so much hanging on it, which ever way he went with it he wouldhave recieved a ruck of abuse, but he was wrong
