... i would feel unlucky not to have won tonights game, they were the best team in the first half and the most of the second , despite a small amount of pressure from Town 10/15 mins into the second half

Sorry disagree with that both sides were poor first half but thought we were much the better side in the second after Langmead came on and we had far more possession but a point is a lot more use to us than them Not a classic game but certainly a very tense one !!!

Yes they had the best of the first half, but Town were camped in their half for about the first 15 to 20 mins of the second and then again later.

Cambridge had a couple of decent chances from high balls and knock-downs but little in the way of concerted pressure.
We had more of the pressure but only produced one real sitter which Tolley missed. I thought it hit the post but according to the guys on the radio it was a good save.

if you were a Cambridge fan you'd be used to feeling unlucky. saying that though, I thought you had a hold of the game after us hitting the post and was happy to get away with it.

Webb had a very good chance at the end, but he's already had his goal for the season.

I couldn't believe we didn't get a penalty for the foul on Langmead. Cambridge can moan all they like about being unlucky but that was a massive slice of luck that went their way.

just got home (cambridge fan) thought id come on here and post.
Intresting to see your views. Think to be honest, was a very poor first half wouldnt like to say who had the better of it.
Second half im surprised you seem to all agree you had the better of it. In all honesty i think it was very even. you had the first 20 minutes or so camped in our half and we had the next 15-20 camped in yours. With you having a couple of breakaways.
Cant comment on the pen as it was at your end. If it was lucky then i think we deserved some luck. Bear in mind we have hit the woodwork more than any other team in the league, and are still to gain a pen ourselves.
From our end the webb chance (right at the end) did look in as the fence blocks off the bottom of the goal and the netting moved. Should have buried it really, 7 yards out or so was a tap in.
Also, having said both keepers had simple saves the radio we heard when leaving the ground seemed to suggest that one of the saves from your keeper, (from a first half header) was a blinder. Cant remember the chance myself but just quoting the radio.
All in all i think the point was a fair result. Dont feel unlucky that we havent won, its got us a point (deserved) and closed the gap to safety to 5 points with us still to play rushden.

I was expecting us to win this match to be honest, having said that no one can complain about the fairness of the final result. I'll take a point , its not ideal but it will do. To me Cambridge looked anything other than a team in trouble. They were composed, solid at the back and posed a threat when attacking. I can't believe that they have played like that all season. Good luck to them for the weeks ahead.

Roberts and Bramble are going to score them some important goals, no doubt about it, looked for more potent than anything kiddy, rushden or chester have, or even we have

They've still got some results to have to pull out if they're going to claw their way out of trouble. Let's just hope we start scoring soon!!! We noticed how many Cambridge players got on to Luke so quickly. They'd obviously got a game plan!

I thought both sides showed very little up front. The pick of the Cambridge players were Duncan and Gleeson in defence.
From the corner of the wakeman end by the big gate onto the pitch the Langmead incident was 100% not a penalty.
Cambridge looked a better side than Kidderminster, but I do not see where the desparately needed wins are going to come from.
