My wisdom tooth started to come through when I was 16. It quickly stopped and a few weeks ago (i'm now 24) it started to come through again. It was very very painful but has stopped again. A couple of nurofen plus did the trick for me, but I have also used oil of cloves in the past (foul tasting pain relief you rub on the painful area) and the boots home brand toothache relief tablets.

Have you tried the dentist? I hear they can give out very strong pain killers. I don't know what the dentists could do with a tooth which is on its way through though.
I hate dentists. I have two teeth with rather large holes in them but there's no way i'm letting my dentist try and fix them up!

Emma get yourself a wheat bag that you heat up in the microwave or a hotwiter bottle. Lie on it to sleep it does help. You may need some dihydracodeine or co-drydramol painkillers. Hope it eases for you

Same has happened to me. Instead of injecting the anaesthetic they poured it down my throat by mistake. I felt everything they did. Nice. And coupled with my accidental OD on painkillers I was hallucinating all night. That sort of put me off going to the dentist again.

They are a fecking useless bunch. I had about 4 teeth removed when I was young because of a "crowded mouth". Twenty odd years later I go to the dentist in Japan and discover that I still have three of my milk teeth!?! They have tiny little roots and will eventually just drop out leaving me with several gaps

And avoid having your wisdom teeth pulled out if at all possible - it's extremely unpleasant!

OK ema, here's how to get rid of your tooth pain: grab a massive sledgehammer and drop it on your foot. It will hurt so much you won't notice the pain in your tooth!
