Cambridge havn't won away this seaosn have they? A win would be massive, but a draw wouldn't be the worst result ever either. It's very very important that we don't lose.

As we haven't won away all season you should be alright. And you've got to make up for that shambolic performance at the Abbey.

Although that's the sort of comment that causes the face/egg inverse law of numpty to help us to a win.

The return of Luke Rodgers is absolutely massive for us, especially considering his mini run of good form prior to his suspension

Even if we get beat(which we wont, see a draw myself, which will be ok) we'll still beat Notts Co at home and Oxford no worries and IMO that will probably do but I can see us getting some away points as well so no problem. Am bringing up a couple of Us' diehards on Friday, going to be a dreadful trip home for someone after the game.Just hope Martin can restrain himself ok if things go pear shaped Thinking about it though if it does go wrong my Cambridge mates can make alternative travel arrangements for the return trip. NO MORE "NEGATIVE WAVES" PLEASE.....................WE WILL WIN.................................I think Ps They are beside themselves down here after their 3rd consecutive home win(and by all accounts they played bloody well, which is good cos it cant last)and they are expecting a bumper away following,Bank Holiday and all,so should be a good gate. Personally I think they'll bring 37...........

They're sh!t. We'll win easily. Mark Tudor out and we'll walk it Shane Tudor If he's out that's a massive plus. Also they've sold Luke Guttridge and Stev Angus who were their best players. 3 pts to the Shrewsbury, thanks very much!

No s**t sherlock this is a massive game for us, what has been called a 6 pointer, we win were virtually safe. Lose and it's doom and gloom for a week.
Town will win by a couple of goals I have no doubt (well maybe)
Stand Tall Salopians.......

2-0 home win......
Goals from Tolley 18 minutes and Rogers 61 minutes.
Aiston sent off 34th minute and everyone doing a brick until Luke secures the points after Cambridge have been intrenched in our penalty box since Aiston saw the red mist.
For God's sake stop worrying (and you can hold me to this if you want) even if we lose on Friday there will still be League Two footie at The Meadow next season.

You've got the script wrong forever, if there's a red card for you, it must be while the U's are ahead or at least drawing, playing against ten sends us into a tiz and then we defend like incompetent heroes until the last 5 minutes when we finally concede the winner. It's already happened so many times this season I've lost count

If we lose I will worry. The home games are most important, win those and we are safe. I fear that were we to lose on Friday we could go down the same route that we did when we got relegated and find ourselves sliding back into the relegation spots just in time for the end of the season

I think Gutteridge has gone to Southend. But both Roberts and Bramble will be fired up after their exploits on Saturday. The defence should be ready for a lot of long ball stuff into the box. Their tails will definitely be up and they will be coming to the Meadow to win it, no doubt about it. But I reckon we should take them provided we are raring to go from the off and there is none of the slow-start stuff which has plagued our performances recently. The team owes all of us who went to the game at the Abbey when I think we best we offered attacking-wise was a corner.

They did beat us at the start of the season. We may not have had the mighty peters then but i have heard good things about their manager and he will be using the fact that they have already beaten us this season to inject confidence into them. (only this time they have more potent strikers)

Cambridge are not a good side. But let's be honest, neither are we (yet). This is a tough game, they're fighting for their footballing lives, and we're nervously looking over our shoulder. It will come down to discipline and good old fashioned 'Bottle' !! Be honest, what would you rather have - this or a dull, meaningless end of season mid-table game?? Yeah me too.......

duncs post is what I have been trying to point out for years - why is there negativity..?
The negativity then rubs onto the park
The reason we beat Kiddy was because of the positive vibes circulating around the ground. We were 2-0 down and still the crowd were positive.
Id say if the Kiddy game was a quarter final FA Cup game and was deemed as important, then this game with Cambridge is even bigger and is a semi final
we need to show our true colours - fans be positive and let it not be a dour friday night, but one for celebrations where the players play with flair and confidence not worried about the moaning minnies around Gay Meadow

Although that's the sort of comment that causes the face/egg inverse law of numpty to help us to a win. Agreed, we cant take this for granted. They will come here to fight and we will have to be on top of our game to win.
