Anyone got this yet? www.skype.com/Just had in downloaded and installed at work and its superb. Basically similar to any internet messenger service BUT you can also talk like you were on the telephone and all for FREE as it goes through your broadband!!! All you need is a set of headphones with mouthpiece (about £6) and someone else to talk to....... BTW, anyone else got it so i can add? BT are sure to suffer from this.

If BT suffer then we all suffer with price increases. Being lazy I can't be bothered do some research - is this anything to do with google? I know they were going to release something along these lines and it is expected to become the main way to get in contact with people.

Was told about it yesterday and downloaded it. Don't have a headset yet but I will be giving it a whirl as soon as I do. Free PC to PC calls and very cheap PC to telephone calls.

Just checked the PC to telephone rates - my god it's cheap! Rates calculated by destination only (coz you are calling from the www). UK is about 1.4p per min + VAT. Japan a massive 1.5p a min!! Only slight drawback I can see is that you have to buy credit in advance (10 Euros) and this expires if no activity for 180 days. Going out to get my headset ASAP!!!
