Did anyone watch the game? We watched at our youngest daughter's house.
Everton rolled over and let Liverpool swarm over them early in the first half.
They just couldn't really get back into it seriously after that- except for a late goal by Cahill. Too little too late.
But the ref didn't help, either. Mr Wiggy kept saying, "He's a "homer", he is!!" I thought he meant he was like Homer Simpson- (but he didn't say "DOH!!")
Apparently a homer is a ref who blatantly favours the home side!!!
Lots of aggro! Stop and start all the time. Anyone else watch?

Did not get to see the game as I was driving around at the time, but the expert summeriser on Radio 5 Live said Everton were never at the races. Dont know who he was, sounded a bit of a scouser/welsh type

Good game for the neutral, well allright i like Liverpool.
I thought Weir should have gone for two further bookable offences after the yellow so not too much of a Homer in my eyes......

Pauline there was no way the ref was a homer. If that was the case Weir would of walked and whoever challenged Garcia for the free kick that led to the goal would of got booked....awful challenge, but granted not as bad as Baros's.

That tackle from Baros was absolutely awful
they have to start distinguishing between cards and types of red cards
two silly booking is a one game ban
a tackle like that should be three games minimum
it can end someone's career in one tackle

It's in Para 7 of the FA's guide on disciplinary procedures. Probably time for bed now.......

Great game – nice mix of fans in loyyds for the game yesterday – Chris Hudson representing B and A’s Everton fans and TY representing Liverpools – it all ended with a handshake after getting a little heated
As for the game – ref p**sed both managers off so I think he was fair as he was bad to both – to little injury time, not enough cards to Everton players who were hacking at anything that moved first half to try and slow Liverpools flow, and he also missed a couple of things!!
Liverpool have put the pressure back on Everton and a slightly easy run in – but 9i think the Blackburn result has scuppered them and they would have to be very very good to catch Everton who play west brom next!

Everton should easily have had more cards. The foul on garcia for the freekick that gerrard scored from for example. he went straight through, studs up on garcia's shin. I thought it was acracking match and the result flattered Everton. They were battered, and Baros, although he missed sitters and got sent off, was pulling Stubbs all over the shop.

(I'm logged in now!)
Remember, it was Mr Wiggy who said the ref was a Homer!!! It wasn't me.
Marie's boyfriend didn't think he was a Homer, either!
He said (in his lovely Swedish accent)
"He IS not A hom- ER!"
(Which is the nearest I can get to the way he talks!! His voice goes up on the words in capitals!! Our daughter is starting to sound like him ,too!)
Marie was just fed up with all of us shouting and moaning. We were all a bit inclined towards Everton. The eldest Grandwiggy is a Liverpool supporter, so he'll be a happy.
