I'm not going to moan. It doesn't help. I'm not going to attach labels. I'm not going to call anyone names- but
I'm mad as anything at them. At Southend, even- they kept the opposition out of the net for most of the game.
So- I'm going to do my Headmistress impression!!!
So I'm just going to say:-
SO- WHAT happened today to you lot today, eh?
What happened to your fighting spirit, lads?
Has your get-up-and-go got up and left? Or, to use a Liverpool expression- have you been having too many bevvies, you load of divvies!!
I know that first goal was a bit lucky for them.
But- well, when the going gets tough- the tough get going!!
You fight back- that's the general idea!! You don't just wimp out, roll over and die and let them score another one.
To use a Scottish expression- you've been foutering around like eejits today.
You couldn't kick a hole in a wet Shropshire Star with an attitude like that. By the time you'd decided to fight back it was too late!
I hear Langmead and Sheron had a go- but they didn't get much help did they?
You're better than that and you know you are!!!
What did you let yourselves down for?
They said you were POOR first half. You don't have to be poor- but you played poor first half today!
If I wasn't a lady, this post would be full of rude words!
So you'll just get some of these instead!!
Do you get the message?!!!!!
Get your act together!!
You've proved you do it. You've had a good win against Darlo and thrashed Chester 5-0, Leyton Orient 4-1.
So- you can do it when you're up for it! Evidently, you weren't up for it today.
Now go and apologise to Mr Peters- and all those people who care about you enough to travel all that way to watch you wimp out like a load of limp-wristed jessies-
And here's some lines to do- write out 100 times, "I'm sorry I let myself down and I'm going to come out on to that pitch fighting next week!" On second thought, No- just keep repeating it to yourself while you're training.
Now put it behind you and pick yourselves up and come back fighting.
(I'll leave it to the lads to use some more er- forceful language!!! )
