Bin PM'd to stick it up now so here it is, anyone not winning wants there arse kicking (step forward JAMO - ye of little faith ) - well done to all who had those ridiculous trebles/yankees etc
Yes, you had to perm two in each race (bar the first, but Grin should confirm the benefits of that :
THE SCEPTRE’S GUIDE TO ‘NAM 2005
As ever, the biggest problem with trying to select winners at the Cheltenham 5 days before the races is knowing which horses will actually run. Horses targets will get upgraded/downgraded as the week progresses and stables find out how their equine stars are performing compared to other stables, while some horses will only ever run if better horses entered in the race are pulled out anyway.
That aside, the following list contains 3 in each race which on Sunday night were still intended runners in the race, two with big chances, and one to avoid like the plague. Happy Punting.
FINAL WORD OF WARNING – THE FIRST RACE IS FAR AND AWAY THE TRICKIEST – HOLD BACK PLENTY OF AMMO !!!
2.00
Big Chance IMPERIAL DREAM – a wide open contest but almost everything in his favour today and good jockey booked by stable for this back in October
Chance KING HARALD – Has put in spectacular times when he has finished, but has fallen a bit to – big chance if he jumps around.
No Chance WRAGS TO RICHES – has the second worst jockey in the country aboard and will get no assistance from the saddle.
2.35
Big Chance RATHGAR BEAU – Has not stopped improving over the winter and looks to be on a roll
Chance THISTHATANDTOTHER – form at Cheltenham and over his best trip todat for the first time for a while
No Chance EDREDON BLEU –older than JAMO, and like him, can’t run fast enough to keep himself warm
3.15
Big Chance BARACOUDA – not quite the brilliant horse he was last year, but there is a serious lack of credible opposition in 3 mile hurdles
Chance INGLIS DREVER – taking a bit of a chance with this one as he has never done the trip in public, but Baracouda apart the opposition is ropey.
No Chance SH BOOM – stable badly out of form and has fallen more than once at Cheltenham at the business end of his races
4.00
Big Chance IZNOGOUD – without getting B&A into serious legal trouble lets just say this was unenterprisingly ridden last time and will do better today.
Chance PALARSHAN – well I had to stick a Shropshire trained one in somewhere, and this one usually hacks round but flys at the finish.
No Chance SUPREME PRINCE – like one poker player on the coach, showed his hand too early and has been clobbered weight wise as a result.
4.40
Big Chance POINT BARROW – has actually run in better races than this in the past, and one of few horses running down in class today
Chance WILLIE JOHN DALY – reliable jumper who should at least get round (not many in this race usually do)
No Chance BALLYWALTER – like his namesake, prone to errors, sulks a lot, and while often tucked in behind he usually finds little.
5.20
Big Chance RAVENSWOOD – Backed by the owner as far back as November to win this race– his preparation has been ideal.
Chance OULART – I’m reliably informed that his Irish form has been widely underestimated by the press and he is very useful
No Chance THE BAJAN BANDIT – wont get the going as soft as he needs and some that finished behind him at Haydock will beat him today
