I think it is about time we had spring, but no, it has started snowing again. We still have about half a foot on the ground.

they showed a BBC report of the snow chaos and arctic temperatures you experienced a few weeks back. a sprinkling of snow and -5. They showed it on the telly here on the day we had -32 and a foot of snow falling overnight. My train was 4 mins late mind.

When i was a kid (ZZZZZZzzzzzzz), we used to get half a foot of snow at a time, and temperatures in winter down to minus 10 - minus 15 degrees, and the weather men used to call this SEVERE weather. Nowadays, we get a flurry of snow, temperatures of minus 5 degrees, and they call this SEVERE weather

Whereabouts in Sweden are you?
My daughter is going to Sweden in a week, with her (Swedish) boyfriend. It's his Mum's birthday.
They're going to Sundsvall. It's much further north than Stockholm. They're flying to Stockholm then getting another flight because the train journey takes so long.
I hope the snow clears up before then!!!!

It is about 30 mins north of Stockholm. I have had a quick look at the weather for Sundsvall and it is minus degrees up to Monday so i doubt the snow will have cleared by the time the come. Why do you want it to anyway? They do a good job of clearing the roads here you know.

I used to work in Stockholm but now work closer to home in Uppsala, which is a lovely place. Kungsberget is the place you went to. It is handy because it is only a couple of hours away but I think you get better skiing towards the Norwegian border. Let me know when you next come over, always happy to have a beer with a Shrew.
