As I say the Gay Meadow 1910-2006 suggestion has been well received. So that may be incorporated.
The Commercial meeting was taken up quite largely with the issue of the supplier of the kit and whether or not the quality of the kit was sufficiently good enough. If we'd all known Tuesday night what we know now as a result of last night's Q&A meeting then that discussion may have been qualitatively different.
But in fairness Keith, Mal and Sib did say that the club would meet with Gino at MGS about improving the standard of the kit manufacture. I understand that Mal and Sib have taken an example of a Southend shirt to that meeting as an example of what other teams in our division are wearing.
I think the infuence is being exercised.

the minutes of the commercial meeting have not yet been agreed by all the members who participated.when they are, they will be issued for everyone to read.
therefore, there has been no decsion (or discussion) with regards to changing the badge and there are no plans to do so!
Sean did ask me if the retro badge could be put onto modern shirt material, but haven't as of yet given him an answer to his question.

I bet Whitters is talking about some new enamel badges in the club shop or something.
The procedure with the minutes are as follows:
1) They're written up 2) They're passed to Keith 3) They're dispersed among members of the Commercial meeting, the Club, the overall Umbrella Group and to Ant. 4) They're approved by the commercial meeting three months later at the next one.
That is an odd way of doing it, but it is the best way of doing given that the meeting have three months between them. Otherwise the discussions we had in February would only just have come to light.
I was pointing out to faginy that we did talk about the kit and that this was a wide-ranging discussion and that it's fair to say that the fans are having an influence.
Someone posted a message yesterday about having the blue and white quartered shirt for the last game only. That is an excellent idea. The retro shirt badge could be used on something like that - especially as its quite similar to what seems to be the badge around the 1910 period.
