In between checking the boad and listening to some music I am reading a very interesting document about with-profit bonus rates. But Acrobat 6 is a real godsend with its "text select" button, which means that you can cut and paste from an Acrobat document for the first time. Brilliant!

Can you paste it into Word, or are the two incompatible?

Excellent news is that. Uni uses acrobat a lot and the ability to cut and paste from it will make a big difference.

Yes I'm pasting away into word. You can paste it on to messageboards too: "The financial strength underlying a with-profit fund is important because it gives the fund more scope to smooth results." And if you rotate the buttin then you can "select image", so if you want to copy a table or diagram into a word document you can do that as well.

This is going to make life easier for me. But now I need to find a copy for my own computer without paying a fortune. Hopefully it'll be on a cover disk somewhere.
