Not sure who it was but someone posted a message on this board saying that we will sign Gretna Green's goal machine Kenny Deuchar this summer for £90K
Probably a load of crap but i have been trying to find out more about him age, height, weight etc but no good anyone know where i can find stats for him?
By the way isnt GP going to Scotland later this week-it might be true

Wouldn't say no, but I don't think Gretna are a selling club as they have a very well off chairman.

Can't give you any stats, but one of the lads who comes to Fulham with us is a big East Fife fan and was plunged into a lengthy bout of depression when Deuchar left the club.
I saw him play once against Berwick Rangers (I was in Scotland and had a blank Saturday as Hibs were playing on the Sunday) and whilst the general standard was beyond woeful, Deuchar did look a class apart at that level. Big, slim, but strong guy who scored a decent goal with his head and another on the deck.
He scored a lot of goals for the mighty Fife and has scored shedloads for Gretna as you know, but if he's any ambition then he could well be tempted by a move down south. Not sure how old he is, but he can't be too young as I believe he's also a qualified vet or doctor (although I may be imagining that bit having become confused after a few beers)
I'd imagine that if the price was right, he'd be well worth having a punt on in division two.

Seems the chap is a Doctor and the rumour mill has him priced between 50k and 800k to Cowdenbeath, Stoke and about 10 other clubs

He's a doctor and wants to stay in Scotland, he loves his job. The thing is though 38 goals in Scottish division 3 is about 10 goals in League 2.

www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=16932His career stats at soccerbase.com. he's certainly scored goals wherever he's been - he's six foot three and will be 25 on the opening day of the season. Would seem worth a gamble but not sure we could justify spending 90k on him. - perhaps 30-40k upfront with more based on goals or appearances or sell ons etc. might tempt them. Can't imagine, with the greatest respect to the Scottish game, that anyone with any real ambition would be satisfied with Scottish division two so maybe we could tempt him but with rumours of other English clubs sniffing about we'd probably be last on his list of potential clubs.

does anyone really believe we will pay £90k for anyone? If Steven Gerrard was available for that sort of money then I'm sure Roland would stick his hand in his pocket, but other than that....

Havent Gretna been taken over by someone with a fair bit of a cash?
if so he'll probably be on a decent wedge, combined with a club going upwards an area you are happy living in and a decent job would probably make him very hard to entice down south.
