Savage is no more than a scr@per. Over rated player in my eyes Baring in mind half the country thinks he's a I'd say it's damn near impossible for him to be over-rated

Over rated Pete as in how the hell did Birmingham get £3m for him? Half the country might think he's a and boo him etc, but he's the type who thrives on it. I always think players that are booed straight off by fans because they are scared of what they can do on the pitch. Liverpool fans boo Rooney United fans boo Gerrard We used to boo Gary Bennett

Over rated Pete as in how the hell did Birmingham get £3m for him? Because he can make that big a difference to a side. Note that Birmingham haven't won a single game since Steve Bruce (what position is he in to preach about loyalty ) froze Savage out. I expect Bellamy will eventually join the Welsh legion at Rovers too, and I've also heard Hughes is after Hartson, Delaney and Gabbidon. I'm not happy about the way he handled his departure as our national boss but what he is doing at Blackburn could really benefit us in the long run...

Savage should have been booked after 40 seconds. I think he had a bit of 10/1 for him to be the first player booked.

hmmmm Hartson?
Cracking player for Celtic, but a country mile from being a Premiership striker. Gabbidon is a different matter Im surprised he hasnt been a prem player for a while by now.
Hughes has to do something with Blackburn, they look rubbish

Hartson will never be a great player but just his physical presence is unsettling, and he is a good foil for a smaller, more pacey player (Camara at Celtic, Bellamy, Dikov). Hopefully in the same way Kelvin will provide Lukey.

I can see Bellamy leaving Newcastle but not to go to Blackburn. Villa or Liverpool I reckon

Is this the worst ever game of Football since Town v Sheff Weds from 1978, 0-0 if you are interested

A bit of an enigma is our Robbie Pete as far as i'm concerned. He's rated as a hard man and yet would not register on a scale of proper men of that category such as Souness, Whiteside, Harris, Bremner et al. He's not a talented midfielder in the sense of a Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard etc and he's definately not a player that would be a choice for many international teams in Europe (no disrespect)... .. and yet he's been coveted by a number of Premiership managers throughout his career and is seen as someone who can do a job for certain teams . What i would say is that it's significant that he has never been chased by any of the main players in the premiership.

A player not gifted in natural ability but more than makes up for it in his worth ethic.
He can be perceived as a but if Town were in the Premiership he'd be the kind of player I'd want in my side.

Newcastle have apparantly accepted a £6million offer from Villa for their gobs**te of a striker. As for Savage, good footballer (which is often overlooked), brilliant work ethic (during a match) and has the ability to upset the oppositions style of play (cheating basically) However St Andrews is actually closer to his home than Ewood Park.... Bolton fans charged £28 to get in tonight..... That's whats wrong with the higher echelons of "English football"

Remember the game at Crewe where Ian Stevens scored first but we went on to lose 5 - 1?
Well, Robbie Savage was the best player on the park that day.
I can't find the programme, but I think Neil Lennon also played in the Alex midfield.

Danny Murphy, Dele Adebola and a young Fracess Tierrany (sp?) who almost signed for Liverpool-just been released by Doncaster were playing I think

Remember the game at Crewe where Ian Stevens scored first but we went on to lose 5 - 1? Yeh I remember that. My old school maths teacher was a massive Crewe fan, and didn't he let us all know

Was Seth Johnson involved too, or was it just before his time?
What about the likes of Cramby, Street etc, imagine it was before their Crewe days aswell?

It might have been Murphy, not Lennon. Lennon certainly played in the 0 - 0 at Crewe in the Championship season.

However St Andrews is actually closer to his home than Ewood Park.... I think he was more concerned about his house And Alderley Edge is a lot closer to Wrexham than Sratford

he sighted the stress of having to travel to wrexham (where a family member is ill) as a key reason for moving to Blackburn
