Looking at the darlo pics its a realy nice ground but far to big. if you could plan the new meadow round there ground what changes would you make ? size of ground stands etc.
id say 12 500 thats corners filled in at the meadow. and id put one side as a split stand with boxes in the middle.eg main stand at stoke but smaller. id like the main entrence to look like theres to looks realy smart lite up at night.
hopefully not to fare off what we will get apart from the main stand/

The eerie matchday feeling of watching football in a sterile empty folly instead of a character filled town centre ground is warning to all those who think problems are solved by a move to out by the bypass.
Obviously the NM - being done on the cheap - will not be such luxurious surrounds as the Reynolds Arena. Our ghastly half-life will be akin to Chester's at the Deva, where even a succesful team struggles along in front of crowds of 2000 or so.

What is this successful team that plays at the Deva you speak of?

even if no-one turns up to any of our homes games, we'll still have less empty seats than Darlo ;D

What is this successful team that plays at the Deva you speak of? He knows nothing about Football Grin, thinks Kevin Campbell plays for Everton

The NM however will accomadate upto 10,000, our current home, GM can accomadate 8,000 we still create atmosphere at home games and it doesn't look that empty when 3/4 full. Over the last 2 seasons we have sold out for the fa cup game with Everton, and the Chelsea game we could have sold twice over. The playoff semi against Barnet was sold out with the police having to accomadate late arrivals into the away seating area, the Carliar game in the league and semi final of the LDV cup also comes to mind including the 1/4 final against Crewe. A small club we may well be, but occasions like i have just highlighted shows that our stadium has the right capacity, but without going overboard or to big.

Not to mention the fact that away fans will probably be allocated 2000-2500 (a stand behind one of the goals)
If you think there might then be 3,500-4000 home fans scattered about the remaining 7500 seats. (low estimate-bearing in mind that new grounds see a rise in attendance)
For this reason alone it would be stupid to compare 4000 Darlo fans in a 27,000 all seater stadium to at least 4000 town fans in a 10000 all seater ground.
