I also think that on another day we would have got something out of that game.
We created three of four excellent chances.
Bad finishing and individual errors let us down

It certainly wasn't a hammering but definitley a case of Darlington taking their chances and us not. Despite sitting back and letting Darlo having mass amounts of posession they didn't break us down much. We lost but it was better than we usual play at Darlo This thread, and the response in general to yesterday's game, is emphatic proof of how opinions differ in football though.

I was watching with darlo fans, and they were never worried. They were starting to get a bit anxious before the first goal, but after that they didn't expect us to score.

If this sounds critical I've had a s**t day - but we were never in that game at all, Darlo were a class above and it showed I dunno filtering your negative comments just because you got done speeding on the way to the match I agree though that the 4-5-1 line up invited pressure on us.

£15 in
£5 parking
£60 speeding fine
And all that to watch.....................
Seriously we need to do better than that to pull clear of the bottom, it's getting better but time is tight....

12 points gained from a possible 33! Not sure that's what I would have expected and too be honest it hasn't seen us shoot up the league. We can't go to places and play one upfront, we just are not good enough in the midfield area to supoprt the lone striker. Look at Boston, they came and played three upfront the other week, fortunately we defended well enough but even so at least they showed some adventure to go for three points. Our away record is pretty poor and we need to start improving it quickly. don;t be fooled, Rushden, Kiddy and Cambridge are all capable of picking up points.

But Boston were under siege for the majority of the match against us? Yes they were. I still believe the problems on Saturday were not because we played 1 up front (we had plenty of ball second half and created plenty of chances) but rather that for the first time under Gary P, we looked unsure and a little bit disorganised. Who is being fooled StaffsShrew? We are in the relegation danger zone at the moment, but we also have a side playing much better than it did up until November, a decent run of games and half a chance at getting out of this even before the last 2/3 games. I will be happy if I go to Swansea with the Town mathematically safe. I think I will.
