In Darlington by some club officials.
They would have seen 200+ happy punters drinking and eating and watching Sky in a decent enough facility.
Although I'm sure I heard Harry Wilson whisper:
"This is far too big. If they all shoved up a bit, they'd all be able to fit in the one I designed for the New Meadow....."

Yes, your Directors were having a good look around our facilities. Your are getting one built by the same company that built ours so it seems.
Yes ours is too large for us but that was the madness of George Reynolds,so we will have to put up with it . As you will have seen today it can generate a lot of match day income. The bonus of a large facility is the non match day income it generates ...Conferences,lunches,sportmans dinners etc etc. the stadium is being well used everyday which is a big help for a small club & has help us sign players of the calibre of Hignett,Armstrong,Wyjnyard etc.
Today your tactics beat you... 10 men behind the ball at this level is hard to keep going for 90mins,somebody is bound to make an error, your guy did, we scored = gameover, as you found it hard to reshape. When we our foot off the gas at 3-0 ,you pretty good going forward and could have scored.
Good luck for the future, I'm sure you can do better. By the way your manager fired our lads up today by making ''headless chicken'' comments after the 4-0 drubbing you gave us....We were crap on the day but the season is not won or lost in one game....we moved to 5th today not bad for ''headless chickens'' !!!

Actually that is only one of the supporters bars ...there are 4 in total, the one shown ,1 for season ticket holders (which had live music from 5-30 after the match),an executive lounge & a restaurant lounge I wish you well, where is the new stadium to be built & will 10,000 capacity be big enough for you ?

i hope they noticed that it was only a pound a pint. That was between 12 - 2 then Lager was £2.20 , excellent value though along with the food, and the bar that around the other side of the stadium which was more posh was for ST holders before the game only, but after the final whistle was open for all.

Compared to the likes of Tamworth and Farnborough last season, the Darlo stadium was a dream come true. Shame we lost though

Thanks for the well wishes mate, 10,000 will be a big enough for capacity for us initially I should think, just like it would have been for Darlington FC.

Yea Schizo,we know but as I said earlier it was the madness of George.....but at least the stadium is well run & will benefit the club in the long run .
Yes I think your team did ok but got their tactics wrong, you showed enough to end up in a safe position & maybe build on it for next season. Again good luck for the rest of the season, enjoy Gay Meadows while it lasts, as I'm sure in time it will be a housing estate or supermarket in a year or two.
