7 points from last 12.
2 games at home 2 away.
1 of the away games against the best team in the League by a street and we were winning with 15 mins to go and looking comfortable and excellent value for our lead.
Now after yesterday I'm getting the impression(may be wrong, but just my feeling)that to quite a few people yesterdays effort was a dissapointment and we should have done better.
We were a cr@p side a few weeks ago, heading in only one direction, down.
Personally I now see us as still a fairly cr@p side but heading in the right direction,up.
It may not continue but 7 points from 12 is promotion form, time to rejoice in my book and look forward to things to come.
Not really a rant but as I was walking out yesterday so many people were saying "we should have won that","two points dropped" ,even heard one say"Langmead will never score a fecking goal".
Dont know what people want or expect myself,me I'm more than happy to see the tremendous turnaround in my team at the moment and the fact that we are picking up points this soon after GPs' arival is a real bonus.
Thought GPs' post match was spot on.
Excellent turnout yesterday, speaks for itself I reckon.
Onwards and Upwards.

Yep, I was disappointed yesterday - BUT I'm also well aware that I am setting us higher standards now.

Yes, our expectations are higher now. Before GP came and I'd have given anything for an away draw even 0-0. Come to think of it wasn't 0-0 a good result for teams yesterday!!!!!!
I've just read GP on the website and I think he's spot on.
I was pleased with yesterday considering the weather conditions and our last result at Rushden I was well pleased.

Yesterday was all about stopping Rushden getting all three points. I was quite happy with a point as we now have a run of 3 out of 4 home games which hopefully we can make the most of

There's something weird about me I know but I love 0-0 away draws.
Just something makes me smile about hearing Shrews fans singing whilst the home support are booing and telling the manager he doesn't know what he's doing.
reminds me of 2002/3.......

But best of all are undeserved 1-0 away wins such as at
Cardiff
Birmingham
Swindon
and best of all Werxham with Evo scoring the winner

If you're going to keep bullying me on here, and displaying such poor use of apostrophes, I'm going to drag up your anti-Stone Island postings, and then reveal what jeans you were wearing at Bury on Boxing Day......

Have to say i was a bit dissapointed.
To my mind Rushden were a team there for the taking.
They are club, who have, in the last season or so lost the sugar daddy and thus had to get rid of most of their decent players. To an extent they are still reeling from the loss of Max Griggs.
The attendances are down, their star player (and one of the better ones in our league) has just been suspended pending a hearing with the FA.
Their manager is facing the sack and they are having to rely on loan signings that are on a par with Darren Simpkin. Added to the fact that they have been in free fall for most of the season.
I honestly thought that Mr Peters would have thrown caution to the wind (so to speak) in the second half. Scott Howie goal kicks was all it was taking to scare the s**te out of Rushden...
having said that, a draw is better than a 1-0 loss....
