Quality pics as usual Dunc. The set up at Rushden is awesome. Those synthetic training pitches are incredible. A site with a couple of those in Shrewsbury would be a real money spinner - if only the New Meadow design could include these

looks a grate ground and holds 4000 les than ours will. it that a supporters bar or a bar under the stand looks much smarter than most grounds if its under the stand.

Will there be bars under each stand plus a supporters bar with a 108 capacity? (I've forgotten) I thought the area underneath the air wair stand at rushden was class, very nice.

Yes under the stand it was very nice, but the supporters bar behind the main stand was even better and full of fans long before kick off spending dosh on food and drink.

Heres a couple of pics from Rushdens Supporters bar , i was told this holds 250. These pics were taken early but the place was packed at 1:30/2pm with Town fans standing wherever they could find a space watching Sky on the big screen.

you'd have a quick pint int he bar under the stand
you'd have a couple and lunch at the proper bar
and
1) do you really think STFC will make the bars in the stands that nice?
and
2) when the weather is freezing it can't be much fun behind the stand

The place had about 40-50 people in it at 12:30 and was rammed by 2pm.
The bar had 4/5 people serving and there were still queues.
Had a few pints in there and then another beer in the stand before kick off.
Had there have been no supporter's bar, we'd have found a pub in Irthlingborough and walked the 15 minutes to the ground just before 3pm.
Hmmmm........

Size wise - it is twice the size of the proposed new bar but the whole floor seems very well planned out. Also noticed portakabins on the corners of the ground for the supporters association.

Yet their facilites and money making enterprises will be far superior to the larger New Meadow and bigger supported STFC.
