A very sad reminder of the death 10 years ago of the 17 year old son of our friend who suffered an aortic dissection while watching TV with his family.
Such a catastrophic event that they could do nothing to save him. The condition can be identified by screening and the family set up the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) to finance testing.

A great Charity. I'm a trustee at our local hospital and we've been working with CRY to set up a 2 day screening event in our community in July. We've already planned to do the same in 2025 & 2026. These sessions soon get booked up.
