After a healthy 7k+ on Saturday we end the season with a home average of 6,361.
The task for our CEO is how we can get more bums on seats for seasons to come and increase our matchday revenue as a result.
Just like our final league position we finish 19th in the averages for the league.
As a comparison we averaged 6,430 for the season before.

Attendances held up very well given the standard of football on display.
I'm guessing they didnt count how many were left at the final whistle.....

That's a healthy average for us, both historically and in terms of the town's population. But it feels like a plateau has been reached and we've been unable to push beyond it. In addition most other clubs are posting similarly healthy looking numbers so, relatively speaking, we're no better off. When I started watching, the idea of Town playing 10 consecutive seasons in League 1 seemed highly unlikely. It's easy to forget what a good achievement that is, especially during a season like the last one.

Looking at who's coming up and down if our average home attendance next season doesn't break the record since we've been at otley road there's something seriously wrong?

Cost of living is insane, football is one of the first things to go. Pretty decent numbers all things considered.
We also need to remember the ticket prices went up.

Just found this website, fascinating figures on our average attendances since 1950 european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/shrt.htmOver 9000 per game in early part of the 1950s, then gradually falling until we hit the rock bottom in late 1990s when we went below 3000. Some very poor attendances in the years of the championship (Div 2) From the move to the New Meadow we have gradually increased the average attendance

I thought the move to the new ground was supposed to mean off the field revenue would subsidise the playing side of the club.....umm.
