I actually think the two Wrexham fixtures will be great for both clubs and I hope to go to both games.
The Roar from both sets of supporters on the way to the stadium was great.
They have done their bit and I just hope Town do theirs by staying up.

First full summer with a DoF administration. Hard to guess how well this will go with regards to recruitment. It would be nice to not have to go through yet another major change this summer...referring to the handover of power. But what happens happens

Defeat and failure we can take.....it's the hope that will kill us.

A bedded in management structure. Can't be worse than this season? Challenging for promotion from whatever league we end up in. Starting the season ahead of Wrexham 'cos S comes before W. Watching all the players who leave do really well for their new clubs

Most of the players will end up in league 2.....cos they're certainly not good enough for league 1 !!!!!

Most of the players will end up in league 2.....cos they're certainly not good enough for league 1 !!!!! It would be interesting to compare the proportions of players leaving us to play at a higher level, stay at the same level, or drop to a lower level. In the 20 or so years I've been watching Town my instinct is that most drop from our level and the fewest rise above it. In our best recent season (2017/18) there was a lot of speculation about players going to the Championship after we lost the play off final. In the end, only Nolan and Nsiala did (and they didn't succeed there). With the possible exception of Marosi, I can't see any current players interesting a Championship club, or even the bigger League 1 clubs. Sideways or downward moves for those leaving, I'd expect. I'd exclude loanees, although that might be another interesting exercise. Obviously they return initially to their parent clubs but relatively few of the ones we've had make a career at that higher level.

My personal positive for next season is that I can choose which games I go to, rather than feel obliged to go to every home game because I've paid for a season ticket.
Positives for the club? It's either too early to say (Dooley's appointment for example) or I honestly don't have any.
I don't view the return to our familiar relegation struggles as a positive and I can't get excited about the prospect of the quality of football improving until I see it happening.
I note some are seeing the survival of the club as a positive. If we are returning to financial stability that's obviously a good thing, but I'd call it the end of a negative - I'm very much glass half empty after the disastrous last year or so!

I don't think many of them will be here, Bennett and Flanagan will go to a lower division, O'Brien, Pierre and Bowman aren't exactly knocking on the door of anything special any more.

Thought Pierre was doing well till his injury which finished his season.

Agreed, I meant at their new gaffs. Following the usual pattern, ordinary players look great at their new team and come back and score against us. If some of them get the chance in a cup run from their non league "opportunity" of course.

If we stay up - Possible sell outs against Stoke or Brum. Definite sell out against Wrexham.
Best positive of all, it won't be this season.
