Really can't see what the panic is. After the win at Vale we were safe. Even if we lost every game, we'd have enough points. Don't get me wrong the quicker it happens the better as it gives Hurst more time to review things. Most of this lot won't be there next season, especially with the rumours going around about our "spending habits ' over the last eighteen months or so.....

Wycombe are playing Peterborough in the F.A. Trophy Final on Sunday, so their home game against Derby has been rearranged for the following Weds.
They then play us on Saturday.

Cheltenham looked like they were going to pull off the impossible escape but have hit poor form at the wrong time (1 win in 8) whilst Burton look they are spiralling (0 wins in 9) too so you'd say your money is on them two to join Carlisle & Fleetwood. However, this is the stage of the season where the pressure gets to some teams and you get freak/unexpected results Although Cheltenham have games in hand, a major problem for them is time, they have 7 games in 22 days that's really hard going when every game counts, physically and mentally.

We're 9/1 with bookmakers to go down, so an implied 10% chance we chatted about this 2 games ago, we were 9/1 then, we actually went to half that 9/2 after the Oxford game, and then between 4/1 and 9/1 after the Bristol game, scary to think what odds we might have been after 2 defeats we really need Carlisle to win at Northampton this week, it will give them a massive boost and hope going into the cheltenham game port vale v Cambridge final game, that could new big for us too i'n banking on at least 4 more points from somewhere but not putting cash on it

Looks like we have the hardest run in on paper. We can only hope that Hursts post match comments on Saturday have some affect on the players because we can’t rely on others The home games against Wycombe and Leyton Orient are where the required points can be obtained. I can't see us getting anything out of our 3 remaining away games. This.

On face value most people would agree, however our home record under Hurst has been abysmal and our away record has been decent so I'd actually be more confident of getting more points from the 3 away games

We are one place and one point below Charlton.

I reckon 3 more points needed to stay up.

I reckon 3 more points needed to stay up. Max 3, possibly less will be enough. But let's just get the 3 points against Wycombe and put all this talk to bed.

Let's stop worrying about Cheltenham ffs.
They have to win 3 of their last 6 games to get past us without us picking up another point. Is it possible? Yes it is but do remember that they have only won 10 out of 40 so far (ie 1 in every 4).
It's any 2 from 3 to accompany Fleetwood and Carlisle.

Win Saturday and we are safe imo. 49 has been enough in about 5 of the last 10 seasons I think.
Cheltenham might escape but Burton are in free fall and Cambridge got some tough games. But many play each other.

Let's hope that already relegated Carlisle don't play a bunch of kids against Cheltenham.

Matches tomorrow evening include Blackpool v Fleetwood, Bristol Rovers v Reading and Cheltenham v Carlisle.
Is it too much for us to hope that Carlisle can get a result at Cheltenham?

Carlisle have picked up some good results since their relegation was pretty much confirmed. Didnt they hammer Peterborough the other week?

True - i think they won at Bolton as well earlier in the season.

Hopefully Carlisle will still have players fighting for contracts instead of points. Its a decent club to play for and I think have come into some money recently so financially sound. Paul Simpson seems to still be popular with fans and players despite relegation.

There's always surprise results at this stage of the season. The other week Cambridge won away at Barnsley and Burton and vale both drew away at Wigan when most would have said there defeats. We only need win 1 of our 4 games. It's most likely to come against Wycombe or Leyton Orient but for all we know we could win one of the away games.

I reckon we'll now need Burton to beat Cheltenham.
Fortunately, one of Vale's remaining games is at Bolton. I'd be amazed if either they (or us!) get anything there.
So, assuming Vale win their other 2 games, which are both at home, we'll need 1 more point to survive.

Vale wont win any game as there rubbish. We will struggle picking up any points but if Burton beat Cheltenham on Tuesday that will pretty much relegate carlise, Fleetwood Cheltenham and port vale.

I wish I could agree with you, but they are playing Wycombe on Tuesday, which will be Wycombe's 4th game in 10 days.

Vale have played Saturday Wednesday Saturday Tuesday so have been busy playing games. They drew nil nil with Wigan then lost 3 nil away at Peterborough and blew a 2 nil lead at half time to lose 4 2 at home to Exeter. I just don't think vale can beat anyone they just always find a way to lose the game. I think vale will lose 2 nil to Wycombe and 5 nil to Bolton and will be down next Saturday. Cheltenham and Burton will most likely be a draw but if Burton can win away at Stevenage then you would think they would beat Cheltenham.

Club collectively on the field and financially is in its biggest mess since moving to Oteley Road.
I can’t see RW Selling Can’t see him getting new investors Debt will only increase Performances will decline further Every season we stay in League 1 buys the club more time to find someone who can stop the decline which is essential.
Double relegations are not out of the realms of possibility, as we all know.
It worries me that the club just plods on from season to season as same old…..and supporters are powerless 😩
Sorry to be depressing it’s just how I feel about the club atm 😦
