In many ways, I don’t see how Carlisle can catch us (in terms of points).

What was needed today was men of quality and steel, we got the latter. I fancy us to beat Pompey next week. Shipley and hopefully Price will be in the match day squad next week which will provide the quality we need. Well done Salop.

Good point gained. Hopefully Feeney could ask his mate Anthony Evans to join us next season.

Results have gone our way. Good job as performance left a lot to be desired but kudos to the players for getting the draw over the line.

Might not be good quality but overall I'm happy with those scores today.
Come on Town, 1 more point will surely do it now.

This was a missed opportunity to get closer to safety, whilst a point is better than nothing, towns performance was very disappointing, the only positive from today was the teams below us lost but we now play the top team next and I expect nothing from that. So instead of been closer to safety and taking some control of our destiny, we now have to hope all the bottom teams now lose next week What an awful season with a dire team this has been

We’ve had far worse Saturdays this season so we should be grateful for the days events.

What an abysmal game, so glad I'm sitting on my sofa listening to the verdict rather than hitting the motorway like I'd pondered. Results went our way, and that was a valuable point, especially on the back of a decent point on Friday. Bottom five all have less than a point a game, so you have to say we're probably 2 or 3 points off definitely being safe, we just need to grind out a win or a couple more draws. I can see our final two games throwing up enough points but I don't think we'll feel totally safe for a little while longer.
A hell of a lot for Hurst to do this summer.

In the old prediction league I had this down as a 0-0, turned out to be a dour one at that.
As others have said, with 6 of the bottom 7 all losing, our point away turned out to be a valuable one.

3 Games unbeaten which is a positive. Massive match on Saturday As a previous manager would say, if you can't win don't get beaten.
A clean sheet, we hung on, we had some chances.

Superb, refreshing honesty from Paul Hurst again in his post match interview
He’s really gone in at the players and squad here
You can tell he’s going to do a massive rebuild in summer

Once again refreshing to hear our manager speaking sense after today's game. No clichés just an honest assessment of where we are as a team (unfit and poor quality) .

We kept a clean sheet and increased our points over teams below us....what's not to like.
Now is not the time to play well and loose 3-2.

A massive rebuild is certainly required for next season.

Thought Flanagan did well, as did Dunkley & Marosi.
Tom Bayliss too quiet which has become far too common over the last 2 years

Who would I keep.....benning,marosi,dunkley?,price(if fit)bloxham,Winchester? I agree with this list but I don't expect Marosi to be here next season. He is on silly money (apparently) so is unlikely to drop his wage to our budget. We've always fell lucky with keepers and good enough keepers seem easy enough to find.

We have the option on Marosi - so I’d expect us to trigger it with intention to sell with 1 year left. Also have an option on Bayliss, but expect him to be released. Flanagan will be released, can see him getting a move closer to London where he’s from, plenty will be interested. I do think we’ll offer Benning a new contract, gives us two LB’s on books with Nurse. We also have an option on Dunkley, which I hope we take but will be on a decent wage, which might be put towards Price?? Do think we’ll see a massive rebuild this summer though, hopefully the club can support this

Yep,want marosi to stay..but he won't....all the so called quality players can go...and they'll want to anyway....bayliss..... I'll drive him to where he wants to go....there's much better out there...and on less money with more desire.hurst is no fool,he can see the good from the bad, he's been round the lower leagues long enough now

There was interest last summer and he’s one of the better GK’s in the league. Why’d we release him when we can most likely trigger his final year and get a fee

It wasn't mentioned when we signed him (as far as I could tell) but was when we signed the likes of Dunkley & Bayliss

I think we should tell Roland we're paying him £3k a week but actually pay him nearer £7k.

That down to earth interview is by Hurst,is ominous for most of that team....not fit,no desire,no quality....that does sound to me like a total rebuild.....and not before time either

Just got home. No analysis other than to say dreadful game of football between two dire teams. The only decent thing was listening to the interview with PH on the way home and knowing that he saw the same game that I saw Watching Dunkley and Morosi buggering about with goal kicks me back to the dark, distant days ofWinfield and Mkandawire.
