Shrewsbury Town are on the hunt for more supporters to join our Fan Engagement Panel.
The group, which was launched by chief executive Liam Dooley as well as supporter liaison officers Roger Groves and Mike Davis earlier this year, aims to ensure all fan groups have a say in how the club is run.
Shrewsbury Town wants to make sure the panel is open and inclusive to all.
So if anyone is interested in joining to help shape the future of the club, please fill out the form below and our supporter liaison officers will be in touch in due course.
The fan engagement panel meets for times a year. The next meeting is due to take place on Wednesday, March 27. www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2024/march/new-members-for-fan-panel/The article doesn't say if there is a limit to the numbers.

I can't see how if this is open to all then it is any different to the supporters parliament?
Or does that no longer exist?

There's no limit on numbers, for example. I think the plan was so its not always the same faces and to allow others to attend and have input, it cant be much fairer than that I say

Fair play to the media team today as well, they've certainly been busy with publishing this and other articles.

So why doesn't Liam go to the supporters parliament?
Or has that now stopped?

So why doesn't Liam go to the supporters parliament? Or has that now stopped? There was talk of only having a couple of formal SP meetings a season - I personally think there still needs to be more .

Think the subtle difference is the Engagement panels more like a sounding board to bounce ideas off prior to their introduction whereas the Supporters Panels more about giving a more general update addressing fans questions about what’s happening. Although open to anyone who expresses an interest in taking part the Fan Engagement Panel isn’t open to just turn up so if it had replaced the popular SP meetings it would have been a backwards step. Having both allow not only general discussion and questioning but input in new ideas and club decisions. I think there were only going to be 2 SP meetings but this has already been increased to 4 but maybe wrong. Perhaps clarification required. An engagement panel can be called at short notice for either live or online discussions if required. Think we’re roughly following The Premier League fan engagement standards tweaked to suit a smaller lower league club. resources.premierleague.com/premierleague/document/2023/03/22/e79e9d26-f4da-49e8-a6d4-e85d477f0880/Fan-Engagement-Standard-March-2023-FINAL.pdf
