Haven't seen one so thought I'd start one!
Second of our must win (or must not lose games)
Still hoping for a straight run of 3 out of 3.
Will JP sign at 6.45pm tomorrow?

Same XI please. Don’t care if they’re tired, they’re still considerably better than everyone else in the squad.
About time we won a home game, come on Salop 🤞

Why do you always say 0-4 ?, It wasnt really funny months ago. However I'm sadly going for a nil nil, but it would be a decent point. I didn't catch Saturdays game but will be watching this on ifollow.

My prediction is Shrewsbury Town 0-4 Exeter City. Strange game last season, 2-0 down early on, should have been 4-0 down after about half an hour, they suddenly crumbled and we won 4-2 looking forward to this

Got to watch out for Sonny Cox who's scoring a few since returning from Yeovil. It's going to be tricky against a side who also need the points. Just don't lose the game.

The win at Vale makes this a ‘must not lose’ rather than a ‘must win’.
We’re a much weaker side with any sort of rotation, but I’ve got a feeling that we’ll have to make a few changes based on how tired we were looking in that last twenty minutes on Saturday.
I’d say Bayliss, Shipley and Winchester looked particularly tired. The club posted a video on social media of Shipley collapsed in an exhausted heap at the full time whistle.
Hopefully Bowman is back in the squad. I don’t mind seeing him come on for Udoh for the last ten.

Unless the new guy comes in for him, we don’t seem to have a decent replacement. Bloxham, Bayliss and Shipley works as a 3 behind the striker

Bloxham, Bayliss and Shipley works as a 3 behind the striker At this level, that's a decent 3 behind the striker if they're all having their good days. I fear Bayliss doesn't have enough of them to justify his likely good wage, but he may well develop under Hurst, early days.

Outpaced the Derby defence twice on Saturday, well taken goals too. We will need to be on our toes to keep him quiet come Tuesday evening.

Gotta build some momentum here with this one.
Exeter look a similar side to Town (or at least the goal difference is).
Its always a good atmosphere under lights and this will be the last of the season at town.

Gary Caldwell's thoughts on the upcoming game:
"They are a big physical team who don't always like to try and get possession, they'll try to get you on transition and they are very good at set plays. We are clear on what is needed and we will work on that today with the players.."

Odd that, if he's expecting a big hoof we could surprise him, maybe it's reverse psychology.

0-0. And i'd take that now if offered. Keep the points ticking over. The last time we had a 0-0 was against Exeter on 28th Nov, which was also a tuesday.

A little off thread but why are Exeter (and Plymouth) games always on a Tuesday night given the huge distance between the areas? Away thought they'd make good away days.

I think I'd risk going for the win, Exeter look an almost near identical side (in terms of the table, I'm sure they play differently) - Its almost like a mini league with us and them.
Lets get a few goals against them and improve the goal difference whilst denting theirs :-)

I can't remember where I read it but do remember reading a claim that it is deliberately done because it would have little impact on the away following compared to a more local game. For example, if we played Exeter on a Saturday we may take 300 and then that might drop down to 200 on a Tuesday. Whereas someone like Burton we make take 1,200 on a Saturday but that might drop to around 700 if it were a Tuesday.

Our games are all relatively local being in the Midlands. Imagine being Exeter or Plymouth and getting midweek games at Carlisle, Grimsby, Hull, etc. Or those clubs down to Devon

I think I'd risk going for the win Risk being the key word. Would you not rather take this mid-week game easy with a view to being fresher for the 'easier' 3 points against Carlisle on Saturday?

I would keep the back 4 the same, but do a bit of chopping and changing everywhere else. Keep things tight and simple. No majors if we dont come away with 3 points, as long as we are fresher for Carlisle.
Marosi Feeney - Dunks - Sraha - Benning Benno - Kenneh - Hinchy Bloxham - Bayliss Bowman

Think I'd prefer to go and get that first home win under Hurst. Get the monkey off our back and go again for Carlisle.
Big chance to be virtually safe by Saturday teatime, plenty of time to take it easier after the hard work has been done.
Can see quite a bit of team changes coming up but hopefully start pretty much the same tomorrow.

In Hursts' pre-match interview...did I hear Dunny say he's won 50 games out of 106 😲 that's incredible. That's a 47% win rate.

Yes you're probably both right in that we have a good chance of winning, and that Hurst will go for it. But I would be hedging my bets. I'm too negative see, that's why I don't manage football teams 🤣

I suspect also that, while it this a long way for us, it is much longer for other clubs in the league to travel to Devon mid week if they are are further north or east.
