Too soon, I know, sorry.
It's just that the BBC's trailer for their Cup ties was on a few minutes ago. They went through each game to be screened, showed each team scoring in the last round …….. except us.
I can take the boasting big club bollox but it's these little slights that hurt. They should know better.

No the BBC are obsessed with the Premer league. They just won’t have been bothered with us. I am sure they expected Bristol to host Liverpool and we spoilt their plans.

I must admit when I saw the trailer I wondered why Aaron's strike wasn't shown but I wasn't overly surprised that it wasn't shown either.

Did they call us Shrowsbury? That's even more annoying.

Don’t worry , we aren’t worth bothering with as far as they are concerned . Remember we used to be that little club on the banks of the Severn who had a bloke in a coracle to retrieve balls kicked out of the ground . It’s no good moaning , it’s annoying I know but it’s not going to change . We don’t need the likes of the BBC to come out with their patronizing drivel to make us feel good about our club . We know what a great club we support , whatever the result on Sunday our passion for our club will remain unchanged. COYB

I do wonder how SR can plan for the game with so very little knowledge of what the Liverpool team will be. No use at all watching Liverpool in the premier league. Having said that the Liverpool teams through all age groups play the game the same way. They hunt in packs when the other team have the ball. I suppose none of us will have a clue about which individuals will be in the team until shortly before kick off. Best guess would probably be not much different to the team that played Everton in the last round.

Oh man, not only does that trailer not have Pierre’s goal, it just shows two Salop players leaving the dressing room.
Carlton Morris and Dean Henderson.
I mean ........ exasperating .......

Even one of last season’s would have been better.

Even showing Nigel Jemson from years ago would have been better.

Not too soon at all!! I was wanting to ask what the feel is like in the town and county, is there a "buzz" about the place like there used to be when these big games came around.
Haven't had too much of a gander as yet but it would be cool if folk could link any stories they see in the press (national or otherwise). Not that we don't have enough to go on in this day and age but never hurts to see a little extra coverage of the Town...👍

I just had a quick look at the Liverpool squad and oh my they will definitely have some regulars playing us on Sunday! They could have Adrian in goal, Lovren and Matip back from injury, and the likes of Fabinho, Llananananana, Jones, Elliott, Shakira, Minamino and Origi playing in front of that lot! The only weak spots I can see are at fullback, but they will probably play Robboand TAA! I would say that if we get a result against a team with these players they it would be one hell of a result

If Liverpool do put out a strong team then that's great. It shows respect for us and the FA Cup.

Not much between the teams. I can see us getting a draw. European and World Cub champions Liverpool against Shropshire Senior Cup finalists Shrewsbury town. I am sure however that Liverpool will have done their homework and seen that we gave Whitchurch Alport a good game and their manager was very complimentary about us after the game. I think Liverpool missed a trick by not sending senior management to the game against Bristol City. They only sent the Academy manager which gives the impression that it will be a team of youngsters playing us or they are underestimating us. Maybe they just dont care and are concentrating on other things. Cant blame them if thats the case and maybe a replay is a real possibility.

Apparently, we aren't prepared to even talk to them about a possible transfer of Norburn until the Liverpool game has been played. If it goes to a replay, the transfer window will be shut for them.

Did they call us Shrowsbury? That's even more annoying. We have a place name that is pronounced in different ways. It's the way it is. Perhaps the way you pronounce it is also annoying to others.

The Liverpool game shouldnt really come into it. Norburn is signed up on a long contract. We should put a hugely inflated figure on his head right from the outset, if they are still interested tell then we will talk after sunday. If they are prepared to pay over the odds then let him go. Simples.

But I pronounce it the correct way, how can that possibly be annoying? old documents show that Shrewsbury used to be spelled differently Shroesbury or Shrowesbury, with the 'ow' pronounced as it is in 'show'
