lets face it folks ,we are heading south again,i said it the last time or to be more precise 4 months beforde the last time and its got to be said its gonna happen again . I dont think i could stand to see it happen twice but it will unless something is done pretty damn quick,we need a new team lets face it this lot are well we know what they are .we wanted nay needed a high profile manager and what did we get ,mr peters . perhaps the board prefer us to play in the top half of the conf rather than the bottom 3 of the league ,does it make economic sense ? the crowds were certainly bigger makes one wonder doesn't it?.

I dont really agree with your post, does a high profile manager necessarily mean a better one?
Kevin Ratcliffe and Jimmy Quinn are both 'high profile' characters at this level of the game arent they, and John Bond certainly was!

mr quinn was managing at a level way above his ability as has been proven this season. when you think of the applicants for the job after quinn left and it was allegedly quite a whos who of DECENT managers ,well come on mate look who we have landed up with ,basically another stool pidgeon.

Well Mr Bongo whoever you are guest. You haven't even given GP a chance have you?
Four games in with an inherited squad plagued by injuries, suspensions and stupid sending offs.
I've already noticed a difference in the playing style, there are already positives coming out. We are more unified, more of a team.
Gary Peters is by far the best appointment we could have made, and I reckon you'll be eating your words, Bonzai mate. We are very lucky he came to us and I'll have you a large wager we will be safe Banjo me old mucker!

stool pidgeon.. assume u meant pigeon...
gary peters is the most pertect manager for Shrewsbury Town FC
(jamo shut your eyes) - I used to work at preston lots in 96 when he won the championship with them. Ask David Moyes or Mickey Brown or other preston players about him.. they rave about him
Exeter - what he did there was a near miracle considering all the suspensions, long term injuries and the fact the club were in administration and could not buy anyone
the football played under Quinn was terrible. Gary Peters' teams fight for the ball and dont give up. The professionalism and attitude of the players has changed over night.
Gary Peters IS a high profile manager and highly respected - thats why Preston have done a mini Crewe in producing youngsters from their academy which Gary set up.. thats why he was David Moyes' man at Everton
so you want another Asa Hartford do you..??!
Gary was captain for Wimbledon when they went through the leagues.
keep taking the pills bonzo - GP is the best thing to happen to shrewsbury town for years - if not decades

Judging by your apparent lack of knowledge on the said subject and the fact you hide behind a guest posting, I would suggest you haven't got the pennies to back it up, neither the courage of your convictions.
Come out of your guest mode Bingo and I'll lay you a wager

Well here's a first, i happen to agree entirely with mattsnapper.
I take it Banzai you weren't at Chester on saturday or for that matter at the other games we've played since GP arrived(including the ones we lost) There as been a significant improvement in all aspects of the team's approach and performance. I get a good feeling about this new manager and if, given the time and resources he need's i have no doubt that he will do a very good job for us. Now get back to Duckschat and play with your own friends.

bonzo - when u debate - you put up reasons for your criteria so people understand your opinion
WHY would a high profile manager make the difference..? WHY would crowds come if say we had Ian Rush or Danny Wilson..? WHAT do we need to do thats has to be done pretty damn quick..?
its being done.. i just come back from wolves training ground where Gary has the reserves and LOADS of trialists playing. One of the dads of the players says his son is so enthusiastic about STFC because of how Gary sold the club to him.
Put your points accross and I may understand otherwise me and Jamo are alive and kicking on our opinion.

Let's not forget there is a very real possibility of the club being relegated. Gary Peters' appointment is a catalyst for change - but things are a long way short of being sorted - supporters' bar or no.

Yes there is Sean you are right, but I'm alot more confident of us staying up than our guest BONZO and I'm fed up with reading such negative stuff as he posted hence my invitation.

Traditionally when a management change takes place the said team plays its collective hearts out and if only briefly for a few matches there is a complete turn around things improve makedly, this clearly has not happened . we are at the wrong end of the table . The players discipline has of late become appalling. rodgers\darby are a joke they couldn't hit a cows arse with a shovell, need any more convincing. I do not like what i see ,I do not want to see it,but I can why can you not?

i have woken up
WHO can be better than Gary..?
WHO has made such an immense change in professionalism and attitude in the players training, personal and playing characteristics...?
When I go to the Meadow now its like going to Ajax and not a holiday camp when Quinn was there.
Sod off and be a glory boy and cry with the Wolves fans mate.
You still havent satisfied me and my best mate Jamo who is getting the Simple Minds box set from Santa. You havnt replied to the bet either.

unfortunately mr quinn did not leave gp much to work with, but what he did leave is now working a lot harder, the lads that gp has brought in have been a revelation in terms of work rate etc and it will either bring the others on or they will be out at the end of the season, i thought burns had a fantastic second half considering he had only been at the club 48? hours, langmead ran his heart out, ashton although he did not attack a lot, showed versitality in filling in after challis`s injury, if this is the standard of player gp is going to bring in, relegation will be avoided, and just perhaps next season it will be a top half, or even play off`s,
