Here's hoping they all go today so no one who hasn't been to a game this season is eligible for a ticket. Top, top effort to the club here for hands down the best big game strategy I can remember. Disagree totally - if there’s a handful or more of spare tickets for general sale that reach first time spectators then why not, if only one of them returns to watch again it’s a positive. Absolutely do not buy into this way of thinking that regular supporters are any better or more loyal than the general public I agree with you, to a point, but plenty of people have already had plenty of chances to go and see a game this season, and it's looking absolutely perfectly like everyone who has been to a game so far has had their loyalty rewarded with a chance to get a ticket. I think that's fair and hands down the best outcome. If there are some on general sale then good luck to those that are lucky enough to get one and fingers crossed they contribute to the atmosphere and enjoy the occasion enough to come back. And for those bleating about buying their tickets on the day, or those who go to more away games having more points - suck it up - we all know the way the loyalty points system works, so anyone who has not got any because they've not registered or have registered but didn't record your points when buying a ticket, when will you learn?! We've had plenty of big games over the past few seasons and the club have always used the loyalty points system as a way of, fairly, allocating sales. This has nothing to do with who is more of a supporter than anyone else, in fact I've only been to two home games this season but seven away, but simply about those who understand the need for the loyalty points system, and the idiots that don't, yet still moan.

Don’t think they were registering new accounts unless they could prove they were local ..... maybe one or two with local addresses or relatives who live locally but think the club were watching for this Plenty of local Liverpool fans. Definitely some in the south stand last game Theresa. Chap who wears a Liverpool hat to every home game..... best not on Sunday mind

You don’t have to be a regular attendee to be any more or any less a better supporter - there are plenty of exiles and others with good reason not to be able to make it to games, why should they be less deserving of a ticket that goes on general sale? Exactly! I've only managed to make away games this season, and have paid on the day. It doesn't make me any less of a fan. Until recently I regularly attended Tuesday night home games despite it being a 300 mile round trip! I'm' still glued to the phone, tablet or radio on a Saturday and feel the same pain as everybody else when we lose. Anybody who rejoices in fans not getting tickets has got to be a miserable mean spirited individual. You could have purchased a Fleetwood ticket last Friday (after the rules were set) got two loyalty points and purchased a ticket from Tuesday as my son did..... ps I’m not rejoicing just pointing out if you really wanted one it’s easy 👍

Having just shelled out £500 on getting the car through it's MOT that's not an option. And in response to others, I'm not moaning about not getting a ticket, and I agree it is all perfectly fair and seems to have worked well. The point I'm making is that there are people on here taking delight in the fact that they are not going on general sale and 'idiots' like me can't get a ticket. It's this, 'them and us' attitude that really p**ses me off.

But the majority buying on general sale would be people who aren't interested in the club, and are more interested in the opposition. Those are the people that I don't want to see get a ticket.

the only issue I have with loyalty points is you get 2 for an away game but only 1 for a home game so if you live in the northwest and have attended local games at bolton, Blackpool, accy, Tranmere, Fleetwood and have rochdale tickets then you have 12 points if you live in town, you will have to have attended every single home league game just to match that who is most loyal ? the one watching twice as many games and putting money into the club or the part timer giving his money to another club ? A question for the SP perhaps? As an aside, when I lived in the northwest for 30+ years I ended up watching the Town more on the road than at the GM. Convenience was one reason of course but I also enjoyed the atmosphere of an away game. At the end of the day I'm glad that near enough most Town fans will have a ticket for Sunday. The club have handled the process very well.

Why the need to divide fans into "more loyal"/"less loyal" groupings? We're all fans in different ways, from the young kid taking in his first season to an old boy who can't get to the games anymore and listens to the radio. I didn't, what I was trying to say is points for home games should be the same as for away game I disagree, think those travelling to aways regardless of the distance should get a point more. Think the vast majority are happy for 1 home, 2 away. Should maybe be 3 for a game over 100 mile or something a bit more interesting.

That's an easy one to answer, there's no difference! I suggest that the words most and loyal are banned from this board when used in this order....

Hmmm loyalty is a word used loosely on here. Loyal supporters in my opinion would not be berating the team, club, and manager at every given opportunity. Also being an exile Hoover is correct, we do not have the finances or convenience of going to some games, but not less loyal In any respect.

Wierd. When I went to choose my seat yesterday they were blanked out. Maybe because I was on at 8:55 and they hadn't got it all sorted by then. Might give the club a bell later and ask to change. I've got a ticket for block one which I'll swap with you for block 17 if you'd like to?

Just think of poor old Tranmere. Playing united on Sunday so have 3 days to sort out ticketing arrangements!!! Used to be fairly normal back in the days of endless replays and worse weather than we get these days / poor pitches. Replays were often postponed and resheduled for the following day then the one after that in hard snowy winters.

I disagree too we have some fans who travel over that for every home game, are they more loyal than me who walks a few yards ? if London shrews comes to watch the checkatrde v macclesfield he gets 1 point if northwest man falls out of bed to watch town at Fleetwood he gets 2 points dont forget, home games puts money into the club, away games dont

Anyone know the latest sales figures? Not the exact figure, but the games sold out, so 9,500 plus Bet the attendance figure is more like 9100 ?, what with the good old BBC and all that stuff, and no doubt a bit of extra segregation for the lovable scousers ?
