We wont see three better goals in a game from Salop. Well done boys COYBs Good entertainment, plus cheap admission, is why people choose to attend the EFL matches, why not?

From The Times:
Another month, another empty pay packet. Another ultimatum. Another winding-up petition being heard in the High Court. Another game at risk, this time the visit of Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday. Macclesfield Town feel increasingly like a club on the brink.
One player, who split with his wife and could not afford alternative accommodation, is believed to have slept in his car in a supermarket car park for two nights recently. Others are struggling to put petrol in their tanks. The average wage at Macclesfield is £600 per week. Players have families to support. Christmas is coming.
Are we are watching the slow-motion demise of another proud old club, just 35 miles south of Bury? That is the fear.

How did an already broke club manage to end up in a situation where they owe a manger who worked for them for just 9 months £180,000
That could be that for them with the unpaid player wages AND tax owed...

We could be entering another Bury Saga.
Players are refusing to play on Saturday against Crewe. Presumably the Youth team will be dragged out to get game played and three points promptly gifted to Crewe. Crewe sitting third in the table will welcome the points, unlike fellow play off teams
Once again the integrity of the competition is brought into question

EFL's head in the sand approach catching up with them. If they start applying strict financial checks now there will be a serious shortage of clubs next season

So what do the EFL do now then ? If they deduct them points, then why not Bolton ?

So what do the EFL do now then ? If they deduct them points, then why not Bolton ? Yep. The EFL is in real trouble now. When's their appeal against the original decision of the Independent Tribunal in favour of Bolton being heard anyway?

Surely its simple to anyone other than the EFL. Fail to play a match and the 3 points get automatically awarded to the opposition and the team that dont turn up face further points deductions.
Should apply to Bolton, Macc and any other club that basically take the *. Got plenty of sympathies with these clubs that have problems but you have to be fair to all the clubs that are basically better run.

Indeed the EFL are in a mess now. They have set one hell of a precedent with Bolton.

When Campbell inevitably gets sacked by Southend, is he going to bring a similar claim against them?
Southend are another Club who are already familiar with winding up proceedings.

When this sort of thing happens it has effects beyond the league. Crewe Vs Eastleigh FA cup replay tomorrow night and Crewe should have played Saturday, instead it was a training session. Of course the weather could have stopped the game on any Saturday in winter, but even so it knocks Eastleigh's chances a bit.

I don’t know, but my guess would be that he was promised a decent salary and a big bonus if he kept them up, which he did

And Bolton get off Scott free It’s obviously not what you know but who you know. Would it worth them appealing and citing Bolton as the precedent?

When is the EFL's appeal against the non-deduction of points against Bolton by the Independent Tribunal being heard?

When is the EFL's appeal against the non-deduction of points against Bolton by the Independent Tribunal being heard? I live near Bolton and know a lot of Bolton fans.nothing appears to be set date wise for the tribunal.the elf are so incompetent its unreal.thing what people forget though is when Bolton cancelled the Doncaster game, they were doing what the efl guidelines state about health and welfare,of young players, playing 2 games in one week.however the way they cancelled it i.e before telling Donny and the efl first was disgraceful.also they under wage limit and transfer embargo for 2 year's.what with 12 points minus for administration, they have suffered a fair bit for their transgressions, not enough in my opinion but because of the lack of clear guidelines, and fairness from the efl,Bolton are made to look the baddies a bit more than perhaps is a tad unfair on them.well that's my opinion anyway.
