Let's get a home draw against the lowest ranked team in the competition, thrash them, pocket the cash for winning and repeat the same for the 2nd round before drawing Tottenham in the 3rd. Now they've moved out of Wembley it would be an easy away win๐๐๐

An away draw at Tottenhams new stadium in the third round would be a fantastic day out for any lower or non league club and their supporters.

Harrogate away would be ideal or at a push York away even though I've been there before but something to be said for a return visit before they move to the new ground.
A friend of mine has a 4 day 60th birthday bash centred in York that weekend so it would be very useful to ov er that part of the country! Many of the crew are Burnley STH's so are heading there on the Saturday then back in the evening to resume celebrations!

I'd personally like Stourbridge or Solihull Moors - but it won't be either of them.
It'll be Sc***horpe, away.

Big week ahead. 4 points off the play off positions, 5 points away from the bottom 3.

Big week ahead. 4 points off the play off positions, 5 points away from the bottom 3. I think League 1 will be tight over the course of the whole season. We're currently 2 points behind Sunderland and 4 ahead of Pompey both of whom were fancied for automatic promotion pre-season....and may well still be in the mix come May. Wycombe are the surprise package so far, Gareth Ainsworth looks to be doing a great job on very limited resources there.

I do tend to look to whether Staines, Histon or Blyth have made it through as any of them would be my preferred draw. It would be nice to lay some ghosts to rest...

Not the worst of draws. Bradford should bring a few.
2nd in Division 2.

Can someone please do a bit of a look back at both the League and FA Cup draws over the last few seasons and confirm that we always get drawn at home.

That's a good draw.
At home to a side in a lower division who, all things being equal, we should beat. They should bring a good following meaning a better than average FA Cup round 1 attendance which, combined with the ยฃ36000 prize money should we win, will be a good day for the club.

Can someone please do a bit of a look back at both the League and FA Cup draws over the last few seasons and confirm that we always get drawn at home. This is the fourth successive season we've been drawn at home in round one of the FA Cup. That followed a run of six successive seasons where we were drawn away in round one.

I'm glad the bye went to a smaller club, that's really good news for them. Plenty of smaller club at home v bigger visiting team ties for TV coverage too. Those minnows Wrexham might even get on TV against a much bigger club in Rochdale if they can get past Chesterfield.

They had their day then and, if we were to get an expected win now, it wouldn't really even things up or exorcise the demon. That's fine with me - good luck to them. It works in our favour when I think of our past cup victories - they're immortal.

As soon as Walsall came out, I was convinced that we would be next. Nice to avoid a trip to the Any Old Iron stadium.
