France look a real threat in attack and well organised but defence is a bit vulnerable. Kicking is very poor and the dropped points could end up crucial if Wales do manage to win.
Good game this.

Yep, France threw that away with the stupidest red card in the history of red cards.

Yep, France threw that away with the stupidest red card in the history of red cards. That would have been a red card 20 years ago as well! France self combusted.

i had hoped Japan would win but the fairy tale came to an end all credit to South Africa for a well deservered win, they won the tactical battle and stoped Japan from playing the high tempo game that is so pleasing on the eye.

Heart says England, Wales in the final. Head says Wales, New Zealand. New Zealand just look to be on another level.

A disappointing evening yesterday. Hopes were still high with the HT score only 5-3 (Japan lucky with South African errors but had shown flashes of their attacking verve too), but the South Africans' power advantage was far too much for Japan in the 2nd half, when they really struggled in the line outs, scrums and especially mauls. But never mind, everybody here is really proud of the team and it looks good for the future, when they will apparently be getting more tier 1 fixtures and potentially participating in an expanded Southern Hemisphere Rugby Championship.

They fully merited their QF place and for 40 minutes were holding their own against SA. Hopefully the game will continue to grow in Japan and other tier 2 nations like Canada and USA to name but a few.

Big weekend of rugby again. I expect at least one Six Nations team in the final and that's Wales. They've beaten South Africa four games in a row and Gatland is a far superior coach then his SA counterpart. England are good enough to beat New Zealand. England have the pack to win the game but its a world cup semi final against the mighty All Black's so I'll have everything crossed and hope for the best.

We've lost Liam Williams to injury, that's a big loss. However I'm sure Leigh Halfpenny wont let us down.

Wales have had another injury blow but it would be amazing for Wales to get to the final, it would be great to have an all home nation world rugby final

Wow !! England make the perfect start and put New Zealand on the back foot, an incredible performance by the whole team. some amazing tackles , superb tactically to stop the all blacks in the way they did with some phenominal defensive play. i lost track of the number of turn overs 19 - 7 . all the players will remember this for the rest of there career's.
the All blacks have not lost in the world cup in 12 years looking to win there third succesive world cup where stoped in there tracks by an amazing England a win this which richly deserved.
I thought Steve Hansen was very gracious in his post match interview .
