Please keep this thread clear for thenautilusfbs to congratulate us on our magnificent victory at Accrington. We normally start this on Boxing Day, but Wrexham are already Tuckers Thin Biscuit League journeymen. We're waiting........

I have wondered if he is a Secret Shrew, taking in some up market football sometimes. Maybe he is on his way back from Accy?

Very unlikely our Wrexham correspondent will be along this evening to file a report on today's game. For those of a nervous disposition, please close Juan eye when reading about the latest thrashing. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49391189

"Red Passion" in meltdown after today's loss!
Someone's even started an online petition asking for the manager to be sacked.

Well well well?
Surprise sur-flipin' surprise not.
The 'Farm hands' of Shrows-burrurrury are like dogs with two dicks tonight..even though their own team has played 5 games and amassed a total of....(drumroll and fanfare)....8 POINTS!
For the record. We're not shocked with our predicament.
You can trawl through my posts, and you'll see Bryan Hughes' 3-year appointment was a shock to me. So, I'm not surprised in the least. Unless it's quickest revival since Lazarus...he'll be gone by the end of September. A managerial contract means nothing at WAFC. Ricketts won't be far behind. October is my prediction for when Grandpa Chester becomes caretaker manager at STFC.
I'm not alone in questioning Hughes' appointment. His CV read nothing. Failed at Scarborough but, has some qualification in 'Golf-Football'. What TF is that all about?
You've got to blame the board for appointing him. No-one else. I spurted a lovely cup of PG Tips over a brand new laptop when I saw he'd been appointed.
A 3 year managerial contract means sweet FA at Wrexham. He'll be gone sooner rather than later if the results don't buck up. And the board members as well.
Ricketts won't be far behind Hughes for managerial departures
At least we've got the passionate support. That's the difference between the two clubs.

I’m sure Bolton and Bury have got passionate support too but it hasn’t helped them has it . Never mind , you can win the much prized “ Team with the most passionate support trophy “ as you linger in non league yet again . You really are the original gift that keeps on giving , keep it up .

Perhaps the cock of a board at wxm, meant to employ Mark Hughes instead of Bryan Hughes. It still wouldn't make any difference, because they're gonna finish about 10th in the bananarama league. I mean when you've got the likes of dibble in goal, and summerfield in midfield, you've got absolutely no chance. I suppose the only consolation is, they've got massive floodlights😂😂

Would you like to revise your estimate of 8,000 'pasionate supporters' who will be enduring the game this Saturday now that you are officially in the bottom half of the table?

If as you say Ricketts is sacked in October then no doubt we will take Hughes off your hands as his replacement.

The difference between the two clubs is two divisions and has been for a few seasons. Wrexham can start thinking towards PH as the next manager. They really are that bad.

They have passionate support
We have a well run club with stability
Only one of those things keeps you in the Football League and doing well at the sharp end of League one...
Sing up the Wrexham Boys

Passionate support? The last couple of games at the Racecourse it was like a morgue from the home end (admittedly hot helped by lunchtime kick offs) and the last game at our place, well I was amazed how their fans just accepted their inept performance on the pitch
But to be fair, it's been that long since we played them there is probably a whole new generation of fans.

Since when have Wrexham had passionate support? Average to below average attendances for a town/catchment area of that size and they've never been loud.
If the people of Wrexham could afford to go to Anfield you can guarantee they'd be their every weekend instead of the decrepit, crumbly Racecourse.

Fair play to their supporters, more than a decade now of non league football and they still turn up in decent numbers. Currently top of the attendance list with 5300 odd. Decent effort that all said and done.
