Would have played an awful lot with Aiden O'Brien. Together at Millwall for 7 years. If there is any chance he will stay at Sutton surely this is it

Gloucestershire Minor League Division 3. I think I may have asked this question before but why does a lot of people on this board appear to have a grudge against Forest Green? They are my closest league club and have followed their fortunes closely since moving to the area in 1996 when they were in the National League North. Dale Vince I agree is not everyone's 'cup of tea' but he has tried to do something different with his environmental and vegan initiatives at the club - no harm in trying!! Is it because the small crowds they attract from playing in a town smaller than Wem people consider they are not worthy of a place in the FL? Surely not!!

Those in the new estates on the way up to the ground don't like the fans parking up there match days. Gets busy at the one or two shops down the bank in the town and the roads around there too.

No grudge against Forest Green, just the sanctimonious Dale Vince.

Dont think they bring much to the FL tbh, guess it's only my opinion though.

My closest team too ,bar Brimscombe and Thrup. Folks don't seem to be keen on the positioning of the new ground either at junction 13. More people wear Gloucester rugby tops than FGR shirts. Cracking club thoug imo

We got there early last season and were directed down a never ending bank to park and then had to March up the hill again like the Grand Old Duke of York ( not the present day imposter). Then getting to the ground, no cover, no programme and a poor choice of refreshment. I was glad Wimbledon went down because of the never ending hike from where we had to park.

Before FGR appointed Duncan Ferguson I thought SC would have been the ideal choice. I thought the same when Ferguson left. Again with another manager now gone SC doesn't appear to be in the frame. Dale Vince is obviously not a fan but I really think he is the man for the job and not just because he is fairly local and out of a job.

I think SC will only go to clubs that have a decent budget he can use. He was supposedly in for the Burton vacancy but their budget is presumably lower than ours so that's all gone quiet. Probably same with FG.

Agree the fact supporters bar wouldn’t let away fans in and the poor fan zone weren’t great 👍

I see they call him Head Coach yet call their equivalent to a DoF a Technical Director, something else for Rolo to try next? 10 head coaches in 4 years, perhaps they need a manager.

We were directed down the steep hill and told to street-park where possible. That proved to be far from easy.

Darren Moore gone from Huddersfield. Only 3 wins in over 20 games

Darren Moore gone from Huddersfield. Only 3 wins in over 20 games Think I read that he'd drawn something like 11 of those, difficult to know whether he was a bit unlucky in not being able to convert a couple more of those into wins and be way up the table or a bit lucky a few more of those weren't lost in which case he'd have probably gone even sooner. Doesn't seem to be much sadness at the news from Huddersfield fans though. Would be funny if they went back to Warnock.

So this thread started with Huddersfield's sacking their manager. By my reckoning this is their 6th contribution to this thread

So this thread started with Huddersfield's sacking their manager. By my reckoning this is their 6th contribution to this thread This will be their 8th manager (not including caretakers) in last 5 years since Wagner left. Manager churn in the championship must be one of the highest. Was the same last season too, only a handful started and ended the season with the same manager

I reckon that’s a strong appointment for Charlton Will be interesting to see if he can get any success away from Luton? Agreed. And by all accounts Charlton are a bit of a basket case club behind the scenes with a nutcase of an owner/ chairman lurching from one decision to another ( where have we heard that before!) so it won’t be plain sailing that’s for sure. Big potential though if he gets it right

Andy Crosby just got the old Heave Ho at Port Fail Strange timing, just after window closes I thought that. Which makes me wonder if someone has been lined up for a while and has been attending games to get an overall view of the squad and options. I’m led to believe that type of thing does go on 😉
