Richie Wellens the new Leyton Orient manager.
Another one consistently rewarded for failure.

As has been said by a few on here, certain Managers keep getting another Club, irrespective as to how many they've had, how many times they've been sacked, and how poor their results have been.
Wellens is a good example. Evans another.

Wellens is a good example. Evans another. I'd be intrigued on the actual recruitment process of football managers. Do football clubs put out feelers to agents when they are ready to sack someone? Do they have interviews? I've done a bit of recruitment in my career and I recognise it's an incredibly different world, but lower league football seems quite backward in this way. Often just be a random punt on who a chairman has heard of.

Stevenage have the dubious record of having had both Westley (4 times) and now Evans as Managers.
Hopefully, the National League is their destination, never to return.

Got the dreaded vote of confidence last week! Worth a stab at new manager bounce to give them a chance of staying up? They haven't won a match this year. Crewe are basically down and Doncaster have less games than others and a much worse goal difference. Looks to be 2 others from 4, but Wimbledon would think need at least a couple of wins from those 7 to keep them up. But they do still have to play Fleetwood. That match could be the decider

Seems a strange time to do this. If they were thinking of it then 2 or 3 games ago would have given the new manager a bit more time to find those last few wins they will need to stay up.

No surprise. He looked and sounded a broken man in the post match interview. I think they are going to find it hard in league 2 next season.

The same old names going round and round. Most of them have flopped somewhere else, so it's unlikely they'll turn in to miracle workers at their new club.

Unless Mr Mellon can be tempted to take the job, I would have done something a little different - send Artell away on sabbatical for the rest of the season to regroup and plan for a promotion push from league 2 next season. After all, who is going to be more qualified and more motivated to do it?

What Crewe need for next season is a Manager who has proved himself in League 2 and who knows the club. David Artell fits the bill perfectly. OR. Just look at the Manager merry go round and pick someone who has fallen off a few times and who is looking for another pay day.

Wow, 15 defeats out of 16 games. That's one hell of an unenviable record.

And Ian Woan. Is the Mike Jackson, under 23 coach that is taking over as caretaker the same one as was here at Town with us? If it is then god help them if he is as succesful.
